Sadly, none of them quite managed to do so. They just didn't have anything to draw him in like the toy store had. If there had been an engineering shop, that would've been another matter entirely. He hadn't left home too long ago, but he did miss getting to fix a machine. One of his few friends at university had been the same way - she adored machines, preferred them to people. Fitz didn't mind it. He could understand her interest in mechanics and systems better than he could understand society. He decided to leave the merchant area - at least for now. Royus had suggested that he try Lady Luck's, but Fitz wasn't quite sure yet if he was ready for that caliber of place. It sounded to him like someplace rough, someplace where luck was definitely a fickle friend. Of course, he could've easily just been imagining it. It could've been the safest place in the 'Verse for all he knew. Fitz's unconscious prejudice, engrained in him from childhood, caused him to believe that a place where Browncoat smugglers and the likes went in the evenings was likely dangerous. He still didn't even realize that there was a mark out on him. Eventually, Fitz decided he had nothing better to do than to walk to his left - east, from where he was standing - and see where it took him. It'd be another little adventure in the grand scheme of things.

The Pender Sisters

Location: Prometheus

All things considered, Anisa seemed to be fairly calm. Dorothy felt relieved for a moment, until she realized that Anisa was likely going to chew her out later, just not in full view of the rest of the crew. She nodded and accepted her orders, gathering up her belongings before heading into the ship. She made her way to her assigned room and placed her items on the bed. She could unpack them and catalog them later. As Anisa had eloquently reminded her, she had duties to attend to. She'd need to be able to think up an appropriate punishment for her sister, in order to reprimand Daphne for leaving the ship earlier without permission or even notifying anyone she had left. Taking a deep breath, Dorothy decided to improvise slightly. The appropriate punishment would come to her when the time came. Heading out of her room, Dorothy moved about the ship until she finally spotted Daphne. She took a bit of a deep breath before clearing her throat. "Daphne? Need a word with you." Daphne looked over when she heard her sister's words. She had been thinking of speaking to Dorothy for a while, but she had just gotten back to the ship and all. The way her sister spoke though worried her slightly, and figured that she would probably get yelled at or spoken sternly to at the very least. This was not going to go well, she could already tell. "Hey sis, what do you need?" she asked, hesitating slightly in her words. Dorothy noticed the hesitation in Daphne's voice. In some ways, it would've been easier if her sister was entirely oblivious as to what she had to say. It would've been great if Daphne didn't agree as well. Then a punishment would be easier. But already, Dorothy couldn't help but feel the beginnings of guilt. As she looked at her sister, she saw the young woman she had left behind on Boros when she enlisted. She saw the girl she didn't protect. "It was unacceptable earlier when you left the ship without permission," Dorothy said. "We needed your help and instead, you went off. Almost the same as the stunt Genevieve had pulled the other day." She paused. This was it - she had to come up with a suitable punishment for her sister. Anisa told her it would've had to be on par with a punishment Jackson would've come up with. "You'll be cleanin' every piece on this ship. Start with ones not in use, then go person to person and let them know that you'll be doin' this. Report to me when you've finished. Should be supplies in cargo - might want to ask Atticus if they aren't there." Ah, now she understood why Anisa hadn't yelled at her yet. She had asked Dorothy to do it, guess it made sense in a way. She was fine being punished for it, she knew she deserved it, but Daphne had never really liked being told what to do by her sister who had left her back home while she joined the military. Dorothy got to leave home quickly, while she had been stuck, left behind and she hated her sometimes for that. She loved her sister, but sometimes she got on her nerves. This was one of those times, and it was not helping. Daphne also did not like being compared to Genevieve either, since the woman had left by now and from what she had heard it had been really bad and ended with Gene almost getting shot or something like that. "Fine, whatever. Knew something was coming anyway. Though I expected it a while ago," she said, looking away from her sister. "Mei-mei...What's going on?" Dorothy asked, her tone softening considerably. "We're all worried about you - even the captain." It was the truth, mostly. Dorothy knew how Anisa felt about her sister's maturity and she was certain the rest of the crew had noticed as well. She had handed out the punishment and fulfilled her duty to Anisa. Now it was time to fulfill her duty to Daphne, to be there for her sister. "Nothing's wrong Dory, I'm fine," she responded, looking at her. Daphne gave a little smile, she doubted that Anisa was actually worried about her of all people when she was worrying about the ship. She doubted as much about the others too, since they were probably worrying about possibly getting caught by the Alliance or something. "Besides, I really doubt anyone but you worries about me". She smiled a bit back at her sister. "You'd be surprised," Dorothy said. "People care about you more than you know, mei-mei." An announcement went off that there were light refreshments available, but Dorothy wasn't done attending to her responsibilities just yet. Her next stop was to meet Anisa in her office.
