Or, at the very least, had decided on taking her smoke afterwards. He hated the smell of tobacco, and the fresh cigarette scent still lingered on the woman. Still, there was no reason to be rude to her. "Oh, he's not mine. I think the poor fella was being chased by a bigger cat when a girl saved him. She got herself scratched for her heroics though, hence the visit here." He replied, jerking his head towards the entrance. "I was in here myself about a fortnight ago. Wolf mauling, if that rings any bells." He paused at this, pondering something. Usually some of the best of people to pick up rumours were those working on desks; office work could be extremely tiresome, and when sat right in front of a waiting room of patients with interesting looking injuries, it would be the perfect place to pick up some gossip. "When I was here last and spoke to a Doctor, he'd said that there'd been a couple of other maulings. Any stick out to you? I hear your Mayor got pretty torn up, but the news round town says it wasn't a wolf?" He asked, feigning slight ignorance. He knew fine well the Mayor hadn't been taken down by an animal, but it would be interesting to see if the woman had seen or heard anything out of the ordinary here.
