Oh my, that is an interesting question.  I guess in a way it could be too much.  Teleporting is a unique gift, but it doesn't really have any offensive use in battle, so giving your character some sort of offense would be great.  I can imagine them having the control over insects and being able to transform into a swarm or be teleported by a swarm of insects.  Either way, it would be pretty cool.

Blood is always messy, and if you heal from absorbing the blood of others it becomes somewhat vampiric in a way.  

You should do what comes naturally to you as you flesh out your character and once you're done just post it and have TheUnknowable and Shard look it over to see what fits and doesn't.  :)
