Name: Astrid Eld

Personality: Astrid is a quiet and humble soul. She only speaks unless spoken to, not because she fears those around her but in fear, her words could bring harm to the unaffiliated soul.
 
Backstory: Daughter of a Himthiki and a mother Affiliate, her forthcoming to this world was a rough one. Born weak and living on borrowed time, her parents set off to seek their last hope; a shaman. After three days of travels, a near village to the west of their own an elder shaman was found. With a successful ritual, the young infant's life was saved from the grasp of Hel. The happy couple returned home to celebrate the rebirth of their healthy baby girl. 

As Astrid got older, she saw so many things that others could not see. Blessed by Freya with the gift to speak on her behalf. Astrid's pagan studies broaden, leaving her home to seek for more and the help of others Volva like herself. Each passing time, she grew stronger with wisdom and power. Her visions grew life, bringing great fortune and wealth to many who found grace within the Goddesses. And those who did not life was cut short either by their own hand or by others. Her name grew far and wide, capturing the attention to all that seek the great fortune. The young volva was found sailing in great ships, standing side by side with Vikings which returned with greater success in raids than sailing alone. Everyone seeks and wants the young Volva to sail with them. However, Astrid only boards when the Goddess command her. Her travels came to an end when she met the captain of Odin's Whisper, the great Goddess Freyda voice had never been clearer. That her life and home was by Uffr the Giant and his ship.
 
Equipment: Her staff, a set of summer and winter clothing, purified bowels and runes, a handful of dried roots and unlabeled vitals, along with a few gold and silver coins. (She sends most of her earning back home to her parents.) She wears a pagan necklace of gold custom made and given by a lord.
