Mira smiled at the Haruhi look alike and nodded, not minding at all that she attached -chan to her name. "Hikaru-chan, of course! We need new posters that promote The Music Club, so if you could help me with that that would be great!" She motioned toward the arts & craft supplies, and then turned her attention back to Tohru, who was busy playing a beautiful but simple melody on the piano. She nodded in understanding as her friend spoke, but mostly listened to that piece which brought feelings of melancholy. It seemed Tohru really liked to play sad songs... It was strange, because Mira really liked that about her room mate, because all she really listened to was pop - pop rock, bubble gum pop, techno pop - if she wasn't listening to classical music. She found herself a little disappointed when her friend stopped playing, but when Tohru pointed out that they had another student she instantly perked up and looked to the door. She knew that pink hair anywhere! "Rika-chan! Welcome!" She said excitedly, getting up from her seat and approaching the movie star. She reached for her arm, and if Rika allowed her, she would lead her back into the music room and have her take a seat. Mira had something else in mind, and went back over to the podium before pulling up a tiny, lavender straw basket. "Okay, Minna. So, hopefully we have gotten to know each other just a bit. Now, it is time to move on to a very important step." She set the basket down and looked over the club members curiously. "Take out a piece of paper and write your name, your preferred instrument, and top three favorite genres of music down. When you're done, put it in this basket. If you don't play an instrument, that's fine too, but unfortunately you won't be able to participate in a lot of the club activities as we are mostly a performance based club. The exception is if you are a singer." Finally, after her speech she stepped down from the podium, leaving her basket behind for the others. She felt quite satisfied with herself, but also hoped that the others thought she was doing a good as Club President. At first, she was hesitant to accept the position even though she really wanted it, but she feared she would not be Genki enough, or tough enough to handle it. So far, she had proved herself wrong, but what did she know?
