Darren swore as he saw his bullets miss the mullo. He had hoped that one would hit, but the creature moved far, far quicker than the man had anticipated. He watched as Aloise began to fire as well, and as the creature suddenly leapt over to Eudora and attempted to choke her, before choosing to end the life of the strong man instead. That's when he saw it turn towards him, and his heart sank for a second. [color=5F7171][b]"Aw, son of a bitch..."[/b][/color] He muttered under his breath, watching as the Mullo began to charge towards him.

Out of the corner of his eyes, Darren could see everyone burst into action as the mullo began its charge, and he went mostly on instinct before the creature reached him. He dropped his gun, not even bothering to shoot at it as he grabbed for his iron knife instead, holding it ready as he stared down the creature. [color=5F7171][b]"Alright, c'mere you..."[/b][/color] He kept a firm grip on his knife, ready to go to town on the Mullo the second it got to him or grabbed hold of him. He'd cut the hands right off if he had to.

That was until he saw the flash of movement before his eyes. The Mullo wasn't charging for him anymore. He saw as it went for Lilith, her hands wrapping around the woman's neck, but he saw something else as well, Darren's eyes not following the Mullo, but the knife Lilith had thrown...

James was somewhat taken aback by the Mullo's sudden burst of speed and action, having not expected anything of the sort from a creature he thought was essentially taken straight out of 'The Ring'. As it killed the strongman, he stared and did very little, but he was taken aback as it started to charge towards Darren then. While he had decided against his own gun, and many of the others around seemed to be focusing on knives, James certainly did not have such clear thoughts right then, reaching down for his belt as he wrapped his fingers around his handgun.

Drawing it, James levelled the weapon with the charging mullo, about to pull back on the trigger when he saw the creature change direction. He watched as it jumped toward Lilith, climbing atop her and starting to choke her now. James took only a few moments, adjusting his aim as he took a few careful shots at the mullo, hoping to at least get it off the woman.
