WIP Character Sheet. Thought I'd post what I had here, I'll come back and do the section about his lands later. The way I see it, he'll start as something of a neutral figure, someone who's not taking any sides in particular but who would be a big help to any of the factions that form. [hider= God of the Seas] Name: Legorian, The Deep One Gender: Male Appearance: Legorian stands at roughly 13 feet tall and appears as a tanned, hunched over man. He is always drenched, no matter the circumstances, his thick black beard crusted with salt and dripping with seawater, dead seaweed hanging about his robes. Amongst land-dwellers he is usually clad in a simple black robe and clutching a driftwood staff in his hand, though when safely in his own kingdom he tends to adorn himself in a billowing seaweed cloak. His eyes have neither pupil nor iris and give off a pale, silvery light, and his long black hair wears several braids. Around his neck he wears a single crab-shell tied to a thin string, and when circumstances allow he walks in a slow, tottering gait, though any who have seen him in battle know he is capable of moving faster. Personality: The Deep One has often been characterized as a mad god, and this though this is not an inaccurate depiction, it is perhaps an overly simple one. It is true that Legorian’s motives and mannerisms are often inscrutable – he listens twice as much as he speaks, and though what he says is often cryptic, it’s far from the babbling of a madman. He is slow to anger, slow to act, though when roused to violence he moves with the inevitable rage of a flood. He is capable of friendship and affection, though he is rarely ever warm or particularly friendly. Among other gods he may be considered surprisingly quiet and unassuming, but potentially a stalwart, if bizarre, ally. Major Domain: The Seas Minor Domains: Madness, Music Weaknesses: Well, his power is diminished significantly on land, when he is removed from his domain and his creatures. In addition, it is said that his eyes are poorly adjusted to sunlight, and he feels generally uncomfortable and vulnerable when exposed to large sources of light or heat. His powers which affect the mind of his foes pretty much don’t work at all on beings possessed of a godly soul, though the weaker ones like demigods might take a moment to snap out of it. Your Avatar: Kallomenta, the Mouth of the Sea. Resembling nothing so much as a massive bioluminescent octopus with a maw filled with razor-sharp teeth, this great Kraken often ranges across its masters domain, hunting whales and ships of men to satisfy its bottomless hunger, though it is always quick to respond to his call. Though it appears to be a simple animal, Kallomenta is possessed of a severe, alien intelligence, and those mortals who gaze too long into its massive eyes are known to go mad, spending the rest of their lives as gibbering, violent maniacs. Stance: Legorian is playing his cards close to his chest, as ever. Those who know him well will likely guess that he has no personal aspirations for the throne of the Gods, but it’s difficult to say who he would have take that office, or indeed if he has any stake in the matter at all. Loyalty During the Rebellion: Battalions of his people emerged from the sea and fought on the side of the rebels under command of his son, though Legorian himself never took the field. Center of Power: The Heart of the Sea: A fist sized stone of pure white that gleams with a pale silver light. Faint patterns swirl on its surface like a whirlpool, and those in its proximity can hear a female faint humming a faint, wordless tune. Relations: We’ll sea. Get it? Sea? Powers: Has absolute power over any source of water, so long as it is connected to the sea. All aquatic beings recognize him as their lord and will serve him unquestioningly. The silver light of his eyes has a deteriorative effect on mortals, often driving them ‘sea-crazed’, a feral state of being where the afflicted become violent against their fellows and lash out with tooth and claw. Finally, his singing is deep, wordless and enchanting, causing all who hear it to fall into a spellbound state. Godly Equipment: Carries with him at all times a satchel of pearls taken from the deep places of the world – they do nothing for him, but any mortal who possesses one will gain the power to breathe underwater. In battle, he wields the Waveblade, a supernaturally sharp silver-blue greatsword with a coral pommel, capable of cutting effortlessly through water and of course, of harming gods. His armor is made of red and white coral and draped in seaweed, and not only protects him from harm but also secretes a subtle venom from its spiked polyps – a cut from these spikes is likely to cause hallucinations, paralysis, and possibly death. Demi Gods: Jenelli, the Siren: The older of the twins by about a minute, Jenelli takes the form of a tall and beautiful woman, red-haired and green-eyed, loosely clothed in a ragged seaweed dress. Her singing voice is almost as powerful and enchanting as her father’s, and she can play any instrument in the world as masterfully as anyone. She dwells in her father’s palace, but frequents the shore, where she often lures mortal men with her song into joining her in the deep places… though, being a kindly soul, she almost always returns them unharmed when she’s done. Akatun, the Soldier: The younger of the twins is broad-shouldered and 12 feet tall, strong of jaw and regal in bearing. He is the commander of his father’s armies and is fiercely proud of his men, leading from the front clad in coral armor and riding on the back of the mightiest giant crab in the kingdom. He has inherited a limited amount of his father’s control over water, though his real power lies in his immense martial skill. Name of your Land: Lands: Flora, Fauna, Geography.
