[@Dnafein] Also just to put this out there I know it's been 14 years but I live in Oregon, at our family's house there are 12 shotguns, 14 rifles 2 semi-auto 3 lever action and two pump action the rest are bolt action rifles. 8 pistols half autoloaders half revolvers three compound bows 2 PVC longbows... and from the people living around us we are kind of average in the number of firearms we have. So I guess it's understandable that we have a few firearms lol
Yeah, i grew up in cali and a few of my uncles had a number of firearms. One of them collected weaponry, he had a family katana my grandfather picked up during WWII. I think the big thing about firearms 14 years after civilization fell is that in the beginning its unlikely most with firearms will exhibit the type of control needed to ensure ammunition exists years down the line. In all honesty, I'd anticipate an excess of ammunition spent. Aside from those who miss because of fear or inexperience, I'd wager there's be a number of people on people usage as well. There will be those who will use their weapons to take what they want; And there will be those who will suddenly find themselves unchained by social inhibitions. None of those take in the number of rounds simply lost, either dropped or left behind in a rush.
