  Mathias harbors a great soul within himself, supposedly the soul of the mythical leviathan, and while the soul is concious in its own exsistance, Mathias is able to tap into its power, and wield it as his own, with some difficulties...
  Tendril generation-
   Mathias is marked with a body wide tattoo of a tentacled beast, its tendrils coiling around his body and limbs. Mathias can cause these tendrils to peel from his skin, and use them as extra limbs, to defend, or for ranged combat.
  Sea life comunication
   Being the harbor of what can only be considered as the king of the ocean, Mathais has the ability to comunicate with sealife
  Soul projection
   In times of great stress, the soul of the beast will take over. In this instance, a portion of its true form will materialize around mathias, taking on a monsterous appearance, and the destructive capabilities that would follow.
Background:
 Mathias grew up in a rather unorthidox fashion...on a boat. Born to a family were fishing was life. His family was very disconnected, only coming to shore for the trade of fish and supplies. This form of life lead to mathias being neglected the pleasures of schooling, and only at the age of ten did he actually begin his schooling.
 Due to a mysterious event that caused his family, and their boat, to vanish completly, mathias washed ashore of his home town, was quickly reported, and life went from their. To the orphanage, he began schooling for the first time in his life, and slowly began to work his way through the vlasses as he tried to keep up. But, as it was discovered, being ten years old, illiterate, and half blind, even the earlier classes were difficult. He was eventually put in the kindergarden classes, and slowly worked his way up.
 At 20 now, hes still 2 years from graduating, and still struggles daily. Sure,he managed to burn through a majority of the earlier classes, but it seemed everything was against him. Reading was excruciatingly difficult, and even now he barely manages at a 5th grade level, this along with his lack of gramatical skills and slurred speech make comunication a constant issue. His abilities are scatteted among the grades as he constantly struggles to keep things in order,but he's almost done...
