No matter how drunk a person is, anybody would become sober from a beating like this. Kurokono had just drank a cup of beer and somehow he ended up getting beaten up in an alley by a dragon thing. He flinched from the bruises he'd gotten.

Kurokono turned to look at the other people, familiar faces that have used phrases that he'd only heard from his hometown. [i]They seemed to be trustworthy, oh well...[/i]

That guy has said it in such a rash tone that makes it hard to believe. Not to mention his current state of being pinned to the wall in the middle of the alley...
