"I-I'm taller than you. And I'm not adorable." He said, pouting a little, glaring at Viola. He was still pretty short at only five feet tall, so the effect was more cute than anything else. His face was a bit red, but that could just as easily have been from the cold. Still, she was going to help him, so he didn't see much sense in getting too bent out of shape. Instead, he fished a pencil out of his pocket. He beckoned with his finger, and BoxDog trotted over. The creature seemed to be getting squatter and smaller, until it was the right size to be fit in Alex's hand. Hastily, he scrawled her directions down. "Why does the school have a graveyard?" He asked her, but at that point, she was already leaving. He put BoxDog down, then headed back to his dorm, opening the door. There was one last thing he wanted to do. "Shikigami." He said, holding out his hand towards the bed. A small puff of smoke erupted, and in its place was a five foot by five foot mass of paper, black, with eyes and mouths scrawled all over it. "I'll just have half you hang out here for now, please." The eyes moved along the surface of the paper, as the creature split into two. One of the pieces floated under the bed, sticking to the floor, while the other one disappeared back into the ether. When Alex stepped out, he'd changed into a heavier blue parka, with fleece lining the inside. BoxDog trotted alongside him. "Now, where's the train?" He wondered quietly to himself. It was then that a large, silver blur nearly knocked him over. He got on, and took a seat. He put his earbuds in, He'd decided to use this new school to reinvent himself. Namely, he wanted to be more outgoing and less timid. He supposed asking for help was a good start, though he wondered if he should have said more when she called him adorable...? Hell, maybe she was trying to compliment him. "Shikigami. Mirror, please." He said. Shikigami appeared in front of him. The creature twisted and curved. One of its eyes was facing Alex. The other side of it then changed color, until it was a perfect image of him. He had to admit, he wouldn't have been suprised if she thought he was a girl. He was jolted from his introspection as the train stopped. Getting out, Alex immediately saw the tower that Viola had referred to. He also heard violin music. Where the hell was it coming from? He looked to the left, and...That didn't look like the mess hall. That looked like the graveyard. He looked to the right, and that was definitely the messhall. He picked up BoxDog, who had been sitting next to him, and double checked the directions. She'd gotten him halfway there, at least. She'd seemed nice, if a bit odd. Maybe she was just bad at giving directions? It was then that someone fell to the ground from the top of the tower. Alex watched as Nialla nodded to him, then ran off in completely the wrong direction. Alex supposed this was the sort of thing that happened at magic school. He headed off to the messhall. It wasn't long before he picked out the girl from earlier. Granted, it wasn't like it was hard too. There was another girl there too. Alex noted her white hair and red eyes. An albino. "H-hi..." He said, a bit quietly, before remembering his resolution. "Um. Thanks for the directions. They were really helpful." He said to Viola.
