Aleksandra stood to the best of her abilities, nursing her ankle as she limped forward, glancing around the clearing as though some other monstrosity might burst forth from the undergrowth and begin a second battle to the death. Mercifully, the woods were silent, and she ambled off to join Adam and the others. The creature lay near, and she left Adam and Ren to attend to Lily - in truth, she needed to know what had powered this... thing and she feared that every second to pass let slip something else from its hulking, abominable form. Gingerly, she knelt down, doing her best to keep weight off her ankle, and poked at the thing - she knew it was dead, and yet some childlike hesitance within her still made her reluctant to accept that fact. Regardless, she pressed on, feeling around its eyes, mouth, nose, and then lower - the chest, examining the stitching. Carefully, she slotted her knife in between some of it, severing the threads binding the flesh. She wanted to delve deeper, to do a full autopsy on the creature - but as it was, adrenaline still surging through her veins, the wan light of the moon that managed to filter through the trees - it was a fruitless endeavor. Pushing herself up, she limped over to Adam, Ren, and the unconscious form of Lily. Turning to Adam, she raised an eyebrow. "You need to be more selective in your choices of friends." She murmured.
