Malcolm finished straightening the re room and then headed towards the infirmary. Katherine had already left to go to speak with Fenris and his other rounds were not until later so he wanted to check on the boys that had been injured. Shaking his head, he slowly made his way down the hall. It had been a very trying day so far. With Alice being admitted this morning and then the chaos in the rec room in the early afternoon, he almost dreaded to see what the rest of the day and evening would hold. Pushing open the doors to the infirmary, he walked over to the nurse on call and asked, “How are our two patients? Have they woken up yet?” “No sir. They are still out as of 10 minutes ago. We set their injuries, cleaned them up, and got them into beds but they have not woken from the mild sedative we have them for pain while we worked. They should be awake within the hour though. Chess will be able to leave then but Daniel should stay here until morning so we can be sure that the swelling and such has gone down. Neither will be able to participate in normal physical education until their bones heal, especially Daniel. He should not do anything strenuous at all.” The nurse filled in Malcolm and watched as he looked at their charts and shook his head sadly. Chess had a broken finger and fractured wrist. Daniel had a broken cheekbone, two fractured ribs, and a broken arm. Poor kids. “I can't believe that things escalated so quickly. I think that I will talk to Katherine about maybe some more counseling or a different prescription for Evan. She seems to be excessively violent lately. As for Liv, well I do not understand what got into her. She is usually such a pleasant patient. Something must have set her off. I am sure Fenris will be able to hep her when he does her counseling.” Malcolm stated as he looked around the curtains at the two injured boys before waving goodbye to the nurse and leaving. He would go back to his office for a bit and hope that Katherine came back to hers soon. He really wanted to speak to her about Liv. He did not like it when the semi-normal acting ones had an episode. It was usually a symptom of an underlying issue that needed to be nipped in the bud before it grew into a problem. Katherine would be able to advise him on the best way to figure things out. She always did seem to have the best solutions to problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Laura slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was once again back in her room She remembered the things that happened during group but not how she got here. Her mind was still fuzzy and she guessed that she had lost control again. Right now the voices in her head were blissfully silent and she actually felt like herself for once. She sat up and swung her legs to the floor then stood up. She was a bit wobbly but managed to make it as far as the desk before she needed to go sit down. The curtains were open and she could see that it was still raining outside. She wondered how Liv was doing and if she was in isolation for attacking Chess. She wished that Liv was here with her now. She could use some company and Liv as always there for her. She sighed and then saw something on her desk that she hadn't noticed before. There was a piece paper sicking out of the end of one of her books. She pulled it loose and opened it. The words on the paper made her gasp and fold it back up and shove it into th book where it could not be seen. Someone had sent her a message and she did not know what to do about it. Were they trying to help her or was it something else? She did not know and she was beginning to get a headache and hear things again. She stood up and went back to the bed to lay down, all the while the note on her mind. The note that said: You were not born crazy but made that way. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winter had been confused when she woke up and found herself in her room. The last thing she remembered was.....oh....the blood. She shook her head and knew that the nurse must have bought her back to rest after that trauma. She heard giggling and looked to the side and saw Summer sitting at the desk. “It is not funny, Summer. Poor Daniel and Chess were hurt badly and the blood made me remember...” she trailed off as she watched Summer frown and get up to pace. Her twin seemed agitated for some reason. Did it have to do with the blood? Or could it be the memory? She could almost see what happened but not quite. She heard a crash and then it felt like flying and then everything turned red. She locked eyes with Summer who wa shaking her head back and forth sadly before she faded away and Winter felt herself start to shake a everything became clear for an instant and she remembered and her eyes slid closed. In the space of several heartbeats, she opened her eyes again and smiled. It had been so long since she had been out like this and she wanted to enjoy herself. “Damn this room is horrible. I am not staying in here.” She said and then looked down at what she was wearing. She hated the clothes that they made them wear. They were so bland and had no style at all. “Whatever. I still rock this shit.” she exclaimed with a hip jut and shake as she opened the door and walked down the hall towards the main room. She nodded and smiled to the nurses she saw and heard voices in the main room Inside were Chris and some blond chic that she didn't recognize. She thought she knew everyone here but seems like there was a new arrival since last time she had been free. Walking over to where the two were sitting she plopped down beside Chris and said, “Long time no see handsome. You feeling frisky today or are we in the boring zone?” She laughed and winked at him and turned to the other other girl. Holding out her hand she stated, “You must be new huh. My name is Spring. Welcome to this little slice of hell we like to call home where sanity is overrated and the bullshit never seems to stop.” She moved closer to Alice on the couch as she waited for her to shake her hand. The girl was seriously hot. She might have to make her move before one of the other vultures around here tried anything. She licked her lips as she took in her curves. She always did like the innocent ones. They were such fun to corrupt. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The throbbing in his hand was what woke Chess up. He blinked as he took in the white walls and curtains and knew that he was in the infirmary. He could hear voices on the other side and recognized Malcolm and Nurse Grady. Well damn. I guess I will pretend to be asleep for a bit longer since I don't want to deal with either of them right now. I can't believe that bitch put me in here. Just what was she thinking? Did she really think that by hurting me she would make me leave little Laura alone? All it does is make me want her more. Makes me want to show Liv that no one can take something that I want from me once I have made up my mind. I always get what I want. He swallowed back a moan as he shifted on the bed and saw that his hand and wrist were now in a cast. Two of his fingers were taped together as well with a splint. He narrowed his eyes in anger. Liv had broken his bones. She had hurt him. She would pay for this. In the next instant , he was calm and collected and his face was a mask of serenity. He would not let this get to him right now. He needed to heal and while he healed, he would plan. He would plan just how to being Liv down and to make Laura his own. He would no strike until the perfect moment. He would let Liv think that her warning had gotten to him and that he was too scared to do anything, then once she was not expecting it he would show her who was really in control. Yes, for now he would play nice and act like he had been broken. He would apologize to both her and Laura and act repentant until the time was right. He let slip a grin as he imagined his revenge before once again he put on his mask. He opened his eyes and pictured all the lovely ways that Liv would suffer. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daniel groaned as he started to wake up. It seemed like everything hurt. He blinked a few times and tried to turn his head and pain exploded in his cheek. That was right. Evan had beaten his ass for accidentally groping her and he was in the infirmary now. He sighed as he took an inventory of his injuries. His cheek hurt so was probably broken. His arm seemed to be in a cast so that too was broken. His ribs hurt whenever he tried to breathe so they were either broken or fractured. Seems ike that was abut it except for a few bruises and such he could feel here and there. Fucking wonderful. He could hear voices beyond the curtain and waited until nurse Malcolm had left before calling out. “Hello. Could you come help me sit up please?” Nurse Grady came and soon the bed was adjusted and his suspicions about his injuries confirmed. It seemed like it would take a while for him to heal and he was not allowed to exert himself at all until his ribs were healed. Great. Catching sight of himself in the nearby mirror, he wanted to cry. His eye was black, his cheek swollen and bruised, and overall he just looked like shit. The only thing that had not been damage were the rabbit ears, which he was glad to seem were sitting on his head. If they had been missing he did not care how injured he was, someone would fucking regret taking them. He groped with his good arm until he found the tv remote and turned it on. He would not be sleeping for a while since he was in pain and the nurse had told him his next dose of pain relief was still several hours off. He flipped until he found something mindless. He was actually glad that he had to stay in the infirmary overnight since if he had to see Evan before then he did not know what would happen. Her being in isolation would give him a much needed respite from her kind of crazy. He hoped she stayed there for a long time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryan was still pissed as hell at everyone but especially Dr. Fenris. The good doctor had sedated him and then tossed him in there and he did not even know if Liv was alright or hurt or anything He paced back and forth as he stewed. “This is fucking bullshit! I should not be in here you dicks! If my sister is hurt and you are keeping me from her I swear you will all die!” he yelled and pounded the wall with his fist. It didn't do any damage to either the wall or the fist since they had put him into one of the padded rooms. “Fuck!!!!!” he screamed again and went to sit on the bed. The pacing and hitting thins were not calming him down like they normally did since he could not even draw blood so there was no point in continuing. He sighed and lay back on the bed. He knew that he might possibly have overreacted when the orderlies went to take Liv but dammit she was his sister. No one could be allowed to hurt hr except him. That was how it was supposed to be and they not understand. He closed his eyes an was almost asleep when he heard a heavenly sound. Liv!!! He sat up with a smile and replied, “I am here sis. Are you alright? They did not hurt you did they?” He waited for her to reply and instead of her saying anything, the door to his room opened and he saw one of the orderlies from earlier standing there. Getting to his feet he said, “What the hell do you want? If you try and touch me I will beat your fucking ass, don't think I wont.” He put up his fists, ready to back up his words when the guard stared, “Dr. Fenris wants to see you. Come along.” Ryan weighed his options for a minute and decided to charge the guy but for some reason felt the fight leave him and he followed the man calmly down the hall, past the other isolation rooms where he knew his sister had to be, and all the way to the Dr's office. Inside his head he was screaming at himself to go get Liv but he could not seem to make his body react as his mind demanded. After being admitted into the room, he was ushered to a seat across from the Dr. and met his eyes for the first time since he had been seated. When the Dr. smiled, he felt a shiver run down his spine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The paperwork from group session was a pain in the ass which almost mitigated the fun that had been had from the chaos, Fenris decided as he filled out the final paper. He was going to go get a coffee from the lounge when he heard a knock on the door. “Enter.” he said and was not overly surprised to see Katherine standing there. He waved to her to take a seat and then she asked him about Laura and her medication. Seems I have been a bit too aggressive lately with Laura. I might need to change her back to a more subtle dose of the new cocktail that allows for more lucidity for a longer amount of time. If I do that for a week or so then gradually change her back to the dose she is on now I can make it seem like she got used to the medicine and it lost its effectiveness. Then I can play again and find something even more interesting to try her on. “Yes, I had changed her dosage since I thought she was getting immune to the old one but I might have been hasty since this new prescription seems to not be working either. I will change her back to the old dosage until I can figure out what else might work. I just cant seem to find the right thing to be able to help her with all her mental issue the poor dear. We will start her on this right away and see if that helps until I find something better suited.” Fenris suavely said and they made some more small talk with Katherine until he could usher her out the door. He pressed the intercom button on his desk and called for an orderly to go and fetch Ryan. It was time for his session. Fenris shivered with anticipation as soon as the door closed behind the orderly and he counted down the seconds until he heard the knock and saw Ryan coming through the doorway. He gestured to the boy to sit and then smiled, He always did enjoy his time with Ryan. “Ryan, it is upsetting to me that you still have the urge to at out the way you did during group. We have spoken about how your sister is a separate person that needs to thrive or fail on her own merits and that you cannot defend her every time she makes a bad choice. This codependency that you have for her is not healthy.” Fenris said with a frown and slipped something out of the desk drawer and into his hand without Ryan seeing. He stood up and slowly made his way around the desk until he was close enough to Ryan who was glaring at him fiercely, and then perched on the corner of his desk beside him. He put a hand on Ryan's shoulder and stated coldly, “This is why we need to keep having these talks and you need to be disciplined. I will break you out of this bad habit of yours no matter what it takes.” He then jammed the needle into Ryan's neck and watched as the boy shuddered as the drugs took effect. It was another of his little cocktails full of things that would make sure that Ryan was very susceptible to his words and actions. Fenris let out a small laugh of delight as Ryan's face went slack, his eyes glazed over, and he said, “Now the fun can really begin.”
