[@shylarah]I mean, people can die from any serious injury. The point is that we have powerful healing magic at our disposal that can bring back people who are at death's door. They might not come back completely healed though, like that pupil Ziotea injured, or Father Creid himself.

 There's also the factor of personal shields mitigating the worst damage. So, yeah, lots of factors to consider!
