[indent]Jaxton stands at a height of 5'9" and he's still growing. He weighs rather averagely but he does have a conditioned body thanks to training daily for self-defense. He stands up properly, of course, and exudes an aura of confidence - just like what any royal should be. He has brown, curly hair and dark brown eyes that usually sparkles with a certain hint of mischievousness every now and then.

He tends to wear anything that is laid out for him. He doesn't mind if he has to weary stuffy royal suits or just simple silken clothing. In fact, Jaxton is kind of curious about commoner clothing as well but knows that his parents would never allow him to wear something like that in public. He seems to like simple clothing though whenever he does have a choice and doesn't have to keep up appearances. He wears a silver pendant around his neck that he personally had made.[/indent]

[indent]Jaxton is a kind and caring person, especially towards his family. There are little things he wouldn't do for his family - especially to his sister whom he cares for very much. Even so, he's a very opinionated man and isn't afraid to speak what is in his mind even if it would end up with him being in trouble. Since he's the kind of person who actually wants everyone to get along since he fears another war is coming, one can easily see how being opinionated and fearless can be troubling. However, this doesn't seem to bother Jaxton at all as whenever anyone would blow up at him, thinking that he had his head in the clouds, he would just go to run or train so that he can keep his cool. When he finds himself in disagreements with his family, he would often just shut up about it. However, it's assured that he would bring it up soon after.

He goes a mile and an extra for the people around him. He's selfless, to a fault. Jaxton rarely thinks about himself. He thinks that the ideal king is someone who thinks about his people first before his own personal needs. While this does seem to be a great mindset, the world isn't as black and white as he thinks it is. He is aware of this but he delusions himself that the world is a better place than it really is. Honestly, it only makes it all the more obvious that he isn't ready to rule. There has been talk around that the crown would actually go to his sister, but he has been trying his best to appeal to everyone so that he will gain their favor. It's not that he wishes for the crown so much, but because his sister simply doesn't want to become the monarch herself.

He usually is a calm person and very hard to anger because he's such an optimistic lad. However, when he does become angry, he really does lose everything and he flies off the handle. Jaxton usually regrets it afterwards and tries to apologize, but what he has said cannot be taken back so easily. He tries to be as trusting as possible, but he finds that he is starting to lose the ability to trust anyone aside from his family. It saddens him greatly to think that he is falling into the cynical world which he finds horrible because it simply means that he can't change anything. [/indent]

[indent]Jaxton was the firstborn of the current king and queen of Sliabh. This came with a lot of responsibilities - more than he wanted. He was taught etiquette and politics from a young age. History was one of his strongest suits when it came to his private tutoring and he knew well the effects of the war that was brought upon by their ancestors. This was the reason why he feels so strongly about the alliance. This was when he started to like the idea of actually being allied to Abhainn. While it was all well and good at first, as he only had the best intentions in mind, it soon became obvious that he fails in a lot of aspects in being a king. First and foremost, while he is open-minded, he doesn't seem to think up of solutions to problems quickly. He's rather indecisive, especially when it is an urgent matter - among many things. This was what led to most of the advisors to the royal family to think that maybe he wasn't fit for the crown, no matter how hard he tried to prove himself.

In the process of him growing up, Jaxton had tried his best to live up to the expectations of his parents and everyone else around him. However, he found other interests in life aside from becoming the king and ruling. He found admiration in swordsmanship, which he now trains daily in. When he wants to be alone, he usually takes his horse and rides off to another part of the land just to get away from everyone else. He has met countless people in his escapades, usually people who tend to wander around. He's made friends with these commoners but he never told anyone that he has come into contact with anyone else while he was out. He knew that he would get in trouble because of his carelessness, but hearing their subject's voices had always been a pleasure to him.  [/indent]

Jaxton never met King Maddox before, so he doesn't have much of an opinion on him. He's hoping that he would actually be nice enough to actually respect the treaty that was proposed before the death of the previous king of Abhainn.

Jaxton and Alister have a very rocky relationship. Because of Alister's lack of communication skills when it comes to his feelings, Jaxton never found the comfort in him as he does with his mother. Jaxton respects him, of course, and is rather afraid of the thought that Alister is disappointed in him because of he falls behind on some parts of being a king. Jaxton rarely approached his father to talk about personal things and is rather nervous whenever he does. He hopes to be closer to his father but is having a hard to on deciding [i]how[/i] to approach him and [i]what[/i] he has to talk about. Because of worries of how his father would react, he never got around to actually revealing what he felt whenever talk about being king was raised.

To say that their relationship was close would be correct. It wasn't much of a wonder why he would be closer to her than the king, her brother. Jaxton used to almost always be around her if he wasn't seen in lessons or with his sister. When he was young, he admired almost every part of her and picked up on her strong will and being opinionated. This mixed with her taking him out to travel every once in a while built their relationship and caused Jaxton to have mixed feelings about the marriage since he wouldn't be seeing her again. Nevertheless, he simply hoped that she would live a happy life as Queen of Abhainn.

The two share a bond that is distinctly different from his father. Jaxton would always end up going to her when he has some good or bad news, or when he has some sort of story to tell. She's still aiding him when it comes to his subjects since he still has quite a lot to learn - as evidenced by the lack of trusts advisers put on him when it comes to handing the crown to him in the future.

As shown, the two never really met before. Other than the fact that he is King Maddox's younger brother and somewhere around his age, Jaxton doesn't know anything about him. He's sure to treat him with proper respect for royalty but hopes to build a friendship with him eventually.

Jaxton spends most of his time with Elaisse whenever he's out of lessons - especially with Julianna leaving the kingdom to be wed to King Maddox. He usually hangs around her to act like some sort of bodyguard when it comes to social gatherings as he knows that his sister has some fear of crowds so he steps up to take the brunt of the socialization until she's comfortable enough. He also fights for the crown because he doesn't want Elaisse getting it because of his incompetence. While he wants nothing more than freedom from the crown, he doesn't want his sister to suffer because of it. She's the first person he would go to when he has something to tell - especially if it is a problem.

Aedan, being a warrior in the front lines, always fascinated Jaxton. When he comes back from a war, Jaxton would always somehow find him and then press him to tell stories. While Aedan tells his stories willingly, he always made sure that Jaxton would never wish for a war to befall the land again - a lesson he keeps close to his heart. Aedan teaches him how to fight with a sword properly just in case something bad happens. Jaxton would never admit it, but he saw Aedan as more of a father figure than his own father, a thought that always bothered Jaxton.

While most of their interactions simply came upon because of how close Jaxton was to Julianna, they seem to still be rather close. They were always in a trio, as Amaranthea had the job of being her handmaiden. While not really that close in age and perhaps only brought upon because of her being nice to him almost all of the time, he's developed quite a bit of a crush on her. The feelings quickly left him when she and her family moved to Abhainn because of certain problems. The fact that they would be finally be visiting Abhainn brought hope to Jaxton that he would be able to catch up with her, seeing as it had been years since their last encounter.

Since Alice's identity as the Abhainn Battle-Maiden has been covered up, he doesn't know that it is her. While she was an enemy to the kingdom, he's grown to respect her skill with the sword and has always wanted to meet her - especially because it was a time of a peace. Surely, when they would meet and he found out that her identity was being covered up because of how it was a 'disgrace' to have a female in the war council, he would definitely voice out how stupid the idea was. For she was a girl with skill, and that should not be hidden because she is a 'woman of the noble court'.
