[indent]Standing at 5’2” Elaisse is relatively short. She could certainly be described as pretty, if not necessarily beautiful – but she has a year or two to grow into that. She is slender with slight curves. Nothing particularly special there. Her hair is a dark brown and curly. It falls to midway down her back where she most often lets it sit loose with only a few sections pulled back. Ela has light blue-grey eyes that complement her dark hair well. She will always be found wearing dresses, mostly in elegant designs suited to her rank. However sometimes she will wear something simpler if an activity requires it. [/indent]

[indent]Elaisse is softly spoken, often more in the background than at the forefront of any conversation. She prefers the company of only a few people and struggles with larger groups – which can be difficult considering her status. Though shy Elaisse is quite friendly and finds it quite easy to get along with people. This is maybe partly down to how easy-going and agreeable she is. Even though she can struggle to talk in certain situations Ela always tries to be polite. 

When she is in her element Elaisse will open up a bit. Though mature for her age of fifteen she is bright and cheerful when doing the things she enjoys more. When with family or others she knows well she is quite animate, finding it easier to talk. She is emotional and struggles to not let her feelings show even when it would be better to hide them.

As a Princess, Ela doesn’t exactly act spoiled – however she is definitely naïve. She knows very little of the life outside her own. What she does know is from the books she loves to bury herself in. While smart she is also quite innocent which means it is quite easy to take advantage of her. However, she is quick to learn. She is also very far from ambitious. If anything Ela is the opposite; she will follow those that she is loyal to without questioning it. She doesn’t have much will of her own out with of a wish to live a peaceful life. Though she is slowly beginning to grow more confident with the thought of voicing her own opinions as opposed to being entirely passive.   [/indent]

[indent]The daughter of the current King and Queen of Slibah, Elaisse grew up want for nothing. Her life so far has been an easy one. She spent her time devoutly studying to be a Princess, and future wife of some noble. She picked up most things easily enough, not minding needlework or music. Some others she struggled with, such as dancing. Even as a younger child she enjoyed sketching, using a quill and ink to draw some kind of random design – quite often around letters.

Ela never spent much time with other people, outside of her family - especially her brother who takes up most of her social interaction. Out with of the required social gatherings she tended to keep more to herself. As a result she managed to avoid most kinds of gossip and scandal. She is unlikely to get involved in anything romantic until marriage even though she has liked one or two people a round the castle (she just never wants to act on it).

Not much has happened in her fifteen years of life, sheltered as she was from the war and other happenings. It is not something she is particularly looking to change anytime soon. [/indent]

While Elaisse and Alister are not the closest, she certainly gets on with him better than her brother does. This probably comes from the fact that they are quite similar in some ways - both having quite an intense dislike of crowds (though Elaisse is unable to put on a front like he does). It helps that Ela is quite passive and unlikely to take much offence from any of his harsh statements. While she certainly wouldn't go to him with many personal problems she does take her drawings to her father and asks for advice on those. [hr]

Elaisse gets on well with her aunt and does spend some time with her, though mostly when Jaxton is there too. They share some similarities - Ela enjoys spending time in the gardens with her sometimes or just reading in each others company. However finds that Julianna can be a bit too intense for her sometimes, talking and socialising a bit too much. Even though they are quite different people Elaisse still likes her aunt, just needs breaks when spending time with her.

As much as it may not always seem it Elaisse does get on well with Mira. They have a good relationship, even if her mother is one of the few people Ela would actually considering arguing with. Most arguments are over petty things, however, like how the younger girl looks and lessons. Ela can't always be as perfect as her mother wants to and she struggles with that sometimes - she finds it difficult to live up to her expectations. Still, she knows that her mother will always be there for her and goes to her with a lot of her problems.  [hr]

Ela is very close to her brother. She spends a lot of time with him outside of lessons, sometimes escaping somewhere away from the court or just finding somewhere quiet within the castle. Since she doesn't talk to many others he is definitely the person she is closest too. She is very thankful for him being there whenever at social gatherings and will always stick with him at those kinds of things. She also knows that he is trying to gain approval so that the crown does not fall to her, something that she does feel guilty for even though she knows she would not be suited to it. Ela confides almost everything in Jaxton and will always go to him with her problems, even before her parents.

Elaisse doesn't have much of a relationship with Aedan - she respects him, both for where he comes from and his skill. She also likes that he's taken up a mentor role for Jaxton unlike many others within the court who just talk about how unfit to rule he is. However the actual contact they have with each other is minimal. [hr]

Elaisse did spend some time with Amaranthea when she was younger and the lady in waiting was still in Sliabh. However she doesn't have particularly strong memories of this time for she was very young. She remembers Amara's kindness and that she was comfortable in her presence but not much more. She is sure it will be nice to meet her again, however.
