Plot: As Rune Midgard recovers from its recent blow from the rise of the Satan of Morroc, another threat is yet to come into the surface. The guardian of Bifrost began to lose its soul by an unknown magic. For thousands of years, she used her strength to guard the Bifrost, maintaining the bridge between Midgard and Asgard in perfect shape, and making the passage between the two worlds possible. But out of fear and confusion, she began to recede into slumber, sealed herself deep within the Bifrost, for how long, it’s anyone’s guess. With the guardian’s absence, it created a massive crack through the bridge connecting Jotunheim and Alfheim, causing the two worlds to be severed. With the bridge gone, a mysterious fog began to descend into the region. Some adventurers dared to enter the fog but met the same fate as the guardian, sealed away in the Bifrost and never to return. Meanwhile, in the city of Prontera, a new batch of adventurers has emerged. Are they the answer to the impending danger to Rune Midgard? Will they be able to find the culprit behind the guardian’s sudden disappearance? No matter is the case, they will need to forge their way into greatness, and help restore peace. Transportation between maps requires portal service either through a Kafra Employee or skill based transportation. There are three major nations in Ragnarok Online, the first of which and where all players start is the kingdom of Rune Midgard. The Schwaltzvalt Republic, an industrialized neighbor to the North, and Arunafeltz, a religious nation who lived in seclusion from the world, worshipping the goddess Freya. Areas from Norse mythology are included, such as Niflheim, the land of the dead, and Valhalla, where players can become Transcendent Classes.

A player starts as being a Novice, and after reaching base level 10, they can choose their own path by choosing among the 6 First Job Classes, namely: Swordsman, Acolyte, Mage, Archer, Thief, and Merchant. By leveling their base job to 50, they can choose to further advance their job classes into its respective Second Job Class. After reaching Base Level 99 as a second class, a character can choose to transcend (rebirth) and start the process again, being rewarded with a more powerful, transcendent character. The process involves being turned into level 1/1 High Novice. After turning into a First Class character, a player becomes a special "High" version of their original First Class (ex High Thief, High Swordsman). Upon reaching the second class again, the character is granted with an entirely new class name and the new skills that come with it (ex. Assassin Cross, Paladin). Players also have access to equipment with the term "Transcendent Only".
Additional resources:
Job Classes and Skills - although we're all going to start as Novices Item and Monster Info - refer to 'Databases' (lef side) All Towns Info - we wont probably need all but just for reference
BASIC TERMS:
Base Level - the level which dictates the character's growth in game.
