Team Neumman (Believers), Ques, A Few Hours Ago Ques was a swamp planet; quiet, but with its share of peril. Therefore, Ken Neumann had chosen this as a base for his crew, which aside from Puevi (his best friend), was mostly made up of freed slave children. Despite that, Ken was confident of both the secrecy of the facilities being set up (they hollowed out a few giant strangler figs and placed their technology inside; hiding them from prying eyes) and the morale and future prowess of his crew. Terrence, Corrin, and Rika, a trio of fourteen-year olds that the Believers had freed just a few months ago, were now dilligently planting a network of stakes with a crude sensor attached to them; more stolen stuff. This network would form a perimeter that would warn of hostile intrusion, whether from the local wildlife, or from enemies. Of course, there would be regular patrols as well; he intended to have prior warning before cutting up any tresspassers. The flat clearing nearby would also be of use for the Believers's small pirate fleet, a fleet that needed hiding places and repair facilities as much as it needed weapons and extra vessels. He was sure that once Cinder had mustered enough ships, she or he would be glad to have a safe refuge for them. Team Neumman (Believers), Ques, Right Now Terrence, Corrin, and Rika, three teeenagers clad and equipped in much the same way as Ken (except that Rika had a carbine instead of twin vibroswords), would run at the sight of the ship and the heavily-armored people who had quickly deployed out. However, not having had much training, they would activate their jetpacks right away, causing a loud 'woosh' sound, disturbing the nearby flora and fauna, and turning a pocket of water in a tree hollow into steam. Then, Terrence, a black-haired boy with black eyes with a slight, thin build, would find himself entangled in some tree branches; same for his jetpack, which he wisely turned off with a push of a button. Corrin and Rika turned around, trying to get Terrence free, but losing valuable time. Especially when they were being chased by trained personnel. ------ Ken, in the base, would hear the sensor-stakes beeping loudly, and turn around to say to his friend Puevi: "Stay here and prepare to evacuate the base! I'm going to rescue the trio!" The young man, already wearing his own jetpack, flew up, high into the air, and with more practice, began zooming towards the projected location of the team; they shouldn't be too far from the clearing. Turning on his Shield Belt, Ken knew that he would have to cut up any intruder fast in order to save his team members. But it seemed the facility was lost; someone else had staked a claim to the clearing. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He thought to himself as he neared their location; technically, the Pathfinders should have plenty of time to catch them...
