They're more into the "oh that's quirky" kind of stuff, such as DND, going to conventions, cosplaying, etc. Nerds are more "I like things that are really boring to other people;" they play some video games, but of a different variety, they typically struggle communicating, and they're generally more focused on knowledge than cool stuff.
