THEME: The congregation of alien particles that had been obscuring the arena were utterly decimated by the disintegrating blast, creating an opening for the man's unique eyes to finally peer through. Upon impact, Dias was able to make out the black, featureless silhouette of his opponent. Much to his surprise, the adversary not only managed to avoid being vaporized by such a powerful onslaught but even witnessed as Xavier pulled himself out of it. Talk about durable. This Final Boss was no joke, that was for damn sure. Before the Narrian could even react, he was taken aback to see the mysterious creature actually try and make use of his own blast in an attempt to breach the force barrier's defenses. Clever. Thankfully, the sheer power magnitude of the energy mass overwhelmed the submerged Dread matter and the strange energy shot which followed suit. At this point, Dias interrupted the stream of energy from his own blast by burning the remaining Ether, ending the attack early as the hole it made in his shield instantly closed back up to avoid having any of those weird particles managing to sneak inside. The five Greatswords shattered and turned to dust, dissipating into nothingness. That kind of attack required time to prepare and was only good for a single use each time. And now he no longer had the element of surprise on his side. Xavier had a pretty good idea of what to expect and it seemed doubtful he would fall for the same trick twice in a row. Tch... Did the blast even hurt him? Since Dias' Red Eyes can't make out physical features, he had been unable to discern any of the damage that his opponent had actually sustained. The mere fact alone he was able to survive a direct hit from something like that in the first place was concerning enough as is. Perhaps power wasn't the way to go about this... Time to switch up tactics. At the exact moment that Xavier made his move to begin the Matrix style wall run, the golden radiance of the barrier shifted to an intense blue. With the surrounding Dread particles still being fended off by the projected force being generated, an invisible aura had manifested and was likewise being extended outward from the shield several feet beyond the buffer zone. Upon contact with physical matter, a flash freeze effect was demonstrated as anything touched became instantly frozen with ice forming. The ice possessed the same aura and was literally growing itself while spreading throughout the arena at an alarming rate. The Dread Particles in the air were helping to speed up this process, the creeping ice managing to reach and cover every surface while the open space between the two fighters was crystallized into a literal wall that was imprisoning the particles and locking them in place and allowing no room for movement. The molecules would be paralyzed, trapped in stasis and any attempts to break free would require being able to destroy the arena itself which was acting as an anchor point. This invisible aura likewise could feed off of any source of heat, smothering it until extinguished which would prove fatal for any warm blooded creatures caught in its icy grip. Meanwhile, Dias would remain safe, capable of burning the Ether of whatever ice tried to penetrate his field. But for Xavier, it would only take roughly a second to reach him at the current rate the ice was spreading. Assuming his body was organic, the mere touch would prove lethal, killing off the cellular tissue. Granted, there was one exit point still open for him...trying to escape the arena by jumping up through the large opening in the middle...
