[@Crimson Raven] Dark realism is applicable for the setting, but not cartoonishly gritty darkness. Also, player characters should not have directly supernatural abilities or weapons. Edit: I'm open to hearing you out, but as GM, I'm telling you that what I've read -- a blind guy with a magic sword and shadow powers, who's so unimpeded by his blindness that he's both a competent martial artist and a survivalist -- does not fit in with the setting I have written.
