[@Crimson Raven] I get that his blindness is to facilitate character development and not for its coolness, but if you'd like to use a crippling weakness to develop a character, I've always firmly believed that character should deal with the repercussions of that weakness more often than they do not, lest their lack of hindrance from a disability plant them in cool power territory.

Yes, as mentioned, I do not think it fits in with the setting I've written out, but I would be glad to see another take on this character, or a different one entirely.
