He didn't need it, his scales protected him from from the downpour. He was used to sudden downpours, having been raised on Barab I. Where literally every night downpours verged on the insane. As soon as the doors dropped down Tesar was out of his seat and on the ground before anyone else, the weight of his body digging into the soft mud slightly. He looked around, his eyes more accustomed to the gloomy outlook of the planet than those of anyone else in the team. His ears more honed, more precise than his companions. Shortly he was joined by the rest of his squad: Rane was an old Duros and the team leader, Rell was a Mon Calamari with a tendency to blow things up and the latest addition to their team was Corran. A human who Tesar didn't like yet, he didn't like his smell. There was just something about it he didn't like, Tesar never liked change. He was finding it hard enough with these new rules and regulations that were apparently the result of them blowing up the second Death Star. He didn't understand it, and he didn't like it. As the ships engines cut the sound of the rain intensified as if it felt like now was it's time to shine without the competition from the sounds of the engines. Thats when Rane spoke up - "Okay team, we're covering the Northern Quadrant. Push out, line formation spacing of at least twenty metres. Stay within visual contact with one another as much as possible-" Tesar heard something in the distance, his hunter reflexes instantly kicking in and his back straightened as he tried to hone in on it. As soon as this happened Rane stopped talking, he had worked with the Barabel long enough to understand that. "This one hearz something-" He paused to sniff at the air. "-and smellz something living." He turned and pointed in the direction to which he had heard the sounds. "That way." Rane cocked his rifle, as did the rest of his team before tapping on his commlink. "Boss, this is Rane-" Obviously with their 'cover' in place the use of ranks was out of the question. "-Tesars got movement along the Northern Perimetre. My teams moving to check it out." Barely before he finished speaking Tesar ran off, his back crouched as to remain a low profile. Pushing through the mud, his feet sinking in and the mud splashing as his feet pushed through the mud. The mud fought to keep his feet, though his strength and training prevented from him staying anywhere for too long. He rushed into the trees, his mind on the singular focus of finding his prey. Not caring for the squad that he had foolishly left behind, nor the disciplinary action that he would probably have to face for leaving his squad like that when they got back to base. He looked up into the trees and saw three humans there, he would guess from their size and smell that they were adolescents. He snapped his jaws as he looked up to them, raising his blaster he shouted over the din of the rain. "This one recommendz you lay down your weaponz."
