Kakashi was always… an interesting person, to say the least. Which is probably what attacked the small blonde to him and caused her desire to pull him out of his quiet and stand-offish shell. Now it was giving each other a hard time, playful banter and sarcastic remarks that filled their regular conversation and even after they hadn’t seen each other for long periods of time, things always seemed to return to the way they were. And for that, Airi was grateful. In her younger years, she looked up to Kakashi for this abilities and it wasn’t long before she became the obnoxious little sister and a bit of a pest to him. As life progressed, her ability to express her feelings became better and she went from obnoxious to… well less obnoxious and began to recognize what was going on in her little heart. She had developed feelings for her friend and… didn’t quite know what to do with herself. That was until last month when Might Guy stepped forward and asked for her hand to her parents. Her parents approved and the family rejoiced… except for her sister who showed signs of sadness and jealousy while Airi didn’t know what to think. She… she liked Guy but she liked Kakashi. Did he know… about anything? Her blue gaze shifted back to her friend as more food disappeared from the snack table. Boy he was eating his fill wasn’t he? A small giggle left her as she imaged Kakashi rolling down the streets and attempting to climb up the side of buildings with a blotted belly. Silly boy, slow down! “Ah that explains why you’re at the school.” A tone of understanding left her as her arms fell back down onto the table. “Well you still have ti… WHAT!?” She sprang to her feet, the small spunky blonde as energized as ever. “TEN? TEN AM?!? Kakashi it is ELEVEN THIRTY!” Placing her small hands in her blonde hair she gave it a pull. “Are you seriously sitting here eating snacks while your Genin have been waiting for you for over an hour?!” Without giving it a second thought she let go of her hair, moved to his side and snatched his ear giving it a yank. “You’ve got to be kidding! You can skip the paperwork; you should be with your students!” She wasn’t blowing steam or angry, it was more like a sister lecturing her disobedient brother when he did something wrong. Or a best friend getting on someone’s case about not doing what they were supposed to. Or just Airi getting on Kakashi for being the pure definition of the word ‘late’. “I bet I know where you said you’d met them too.” Letting go of his ear, she placed her hands on her hips playfully glaring down at him. “Do I need to drag you there or should I go get them and bring them here?”
