Hi Guild, what's up?

I'm Val, I'm new here. New to RP as well, but not to writing, it's a hobby of mine and I recently discovered this awesome way to practice it! I've been lurking a little while, checking out some threads, some guides, so I [i]think[/i] I have a pretty good idea of what to do and what [i]not[/i] to do. Now that I'm poking my head out of the nest so to speak, I'll start looking around for opportunities to jump, and see if I can fly.

Anyway, just saying hello. I'm hoping casual RPs will be a good place for me to start, something fantasy/adventurey as that's always been my bread and butter.

Anything I should know about the site or RP in general? Tips to help me avoid going splat right away? I'm looking forward to meeting some people, seeing what I can get myself into here.
