The Pronobii may actually be fairly late in this timeline, their most recent posts taking place 5-10 years PR or more. Jvan certainly started looking into the problem as soon as Osveril left, but it would've taken time.

Also, note for timeline: Tauga never left Xerxes until she was dragged from it half dead. Writing reached Metera at about the same time as Chirality, and over the ten or twenty years thereafter it had a crunchy boom characterised by silk exports and massive stone architecture.
