Even a rather basic knowledge is enough to get started if you're comfortable with learning as you go. The OOC will have far more information to sift through than this Interest Check does, there is a [url=http://muvluv.wikia.com/wiki/Muv-Luv_Wiki]wiki[/url] that is the main source of information apart from the VNs and other source material, and as stated earlier [@Poi] and myself are both available if you have questions.
