He has dark Chestnut brown hair with green eyes. There are small flecks of purple mixed into his green eyes. Radford wears the clothing of nobility, immaculately attired. He prefers to remain clean shaven, removing the stubble from his chin on a daily basis. The Young Hawk wears brown leather trousers and silk or cotton shirts. He wears brown, green and white shirts for various occasions; all of which have the house sigil embroidered upon the left breast. For special occasions, he wears a green and brown silk doublet over the undershirt with the right half of the shirt being predominantly brown, but covered in a decorative flower pattern accented in yellow thread. The left side of the shirt is predominantly green with a gold threaded pattern of one-inch squares. Overlain upon the left side is a large hawk, the sigil of House Lashton. When on the road, Radford wears a padded brown Jerkin over a long sleeved green or white undershirt. The Jerkin also contains the house sigil. The Young Hawk has a dark green cape he wears over his leather armor, which also attaches to the set of mail he had specially made on the Street of Steel. He spent a large sum on the armor, but is very proud of it. He has worn it to tournament on several occasions, including Prince Joffrey’s name day. The last time he wore the armor was when Eddard Stark was named Hand of the King. Radford’s set of mail armor is crafted of steel with a green tabard. The tabard has the brown sigil of House Lashton emblazoned upon it. He wears brown leather straps on his armor to carry leather bags and weapons. His helm has a closed face and visor with a large green and brown plume exploding above his head. The armor was on the expensive side, admired by many for its detail. His father, Lord Rennault views it with some contempt due to the loss to the family’s coin. Radford hopes his armor will not become a motive for his lord father to choose sides in order to offset its cost. He has heard the stories from his sword master, Ser Kayne and his father; hanging on each word. He desires to experience battle for himself. His temper can be tempestuous at times swinging from calm, cool and collected one minute to fiery, combative and hostile the next. He is always respectful to his elders; will do anything Lord Renault or Ser Marvyn instruct him to do regardless of his personal feelings. His one saving grace is discipline. Bio: Radford has spent all summer training for battle under the tutelage of the Vulture, Ser Marvyn Kayne. The Master Swordsman has been very patient with the Young Hawk in the use of all sundry of weapons including a bastard sword, Radford favors. Although he is skilled in the use of sword and shield, he does prefer the longer two-handed sword. His sword of choice is Talon an old Valyrian steel sword measuring at four and a half feet long. It is believed Radford Lashton, second of his name used this same sword over a hundred years ago. It was forged in Dragon’s Fire. Too young for the Ironborne Insurrection, Radford relishes stories concerning battle. He yearns to see action. The current conflagration weighs heavily on his mind. He has much at stake. He wants to fight to prove himself worthy, but he is concerned for how the outcome of the war will affect his personal life and position within the realm. Doing nothing would be disgraceful in his mind. He is aware of the history, believing Robert Baratheon’s son to be the true heir giving credence to Tywin Lannister’s position on the battlefield. He has heard the rumor and even read a scroll from Lord Stannis claiming Joffrey to be the incestuous offspring of Queen Cersei and her brother Ser Jaime Lannister. It is possible Lord Stannis fabricated the story in order to create a justification for his claim to the Iron Throne. If this rumor is true, then Joffrey is truly a usurper. But the Young Hawk does not believe the rumor. Radford also understands the connection between his father and the Starks of Winterfell. Lord Rennault followed Lord Eddard into Pyke when he was young. That loyalty weighs heavy on his lord father’s mind. Radford appreciates his father’s position, torn between an aged loyalty to the Starks and the rightful heir to the Throne. Radford does not know which side to choose and feels comforted in knowing he need not make this decision. Radford has his fair bevy of beauties awaiting his favor. He admires Erena Glover of the Deepwood Motte, but fears that if his father sides with the Lannisters her hand may make things uncomfortable for House Lashton. But the lass does suit his needs. For this reason alone, he favors allying with the Young Wolf, Robb Stark. Merrin Varner who is connected to the Tyrrells of Highgarden is the daughter of Steffon Varner. At age 16 she is very demure and almost to the point of being boring to Radford. Radford is mildly taken in by the Lady Merrin, but this would give the family connection to Renly Baratheon. Evelyn Risley, 17 is a granddaughter to Eden Risley. She is not an unattractive lass, but prefers the labors of men. She would rather fight with sword in hand than learn to stitch or embroidery. She does have a fiery personality, much like The Young Hawk. In one aspect, Radford is intrigued by the woman and would love to learn more about her, but he just cannot take her swordplay serious. Lady Evelyn is someone whom Radford enjoys her company but may not settle down with. She is from a minor house that was loyal to the Targaryens alongside the Lashtons. Penelope Grafton, 15 is a lovely young woman, daughter of Gerold Grafton, Lord of Gulltown. She is a Vale woman and on the homely side. But her father’s connections could be of great political benefit to the Lashton family. Penelope’s father, Lord Grafton is connected to House Baelish and in with Lord Petyr Baelish, Master of coin on King Joffrey’s small council. Finally, there is Beatha Kenning of House Kenning of Kayce. Her father is Lord of Kayce and a faithful bannerman to House Lannister. Beatha is a beautiful lass of 15 with a surprisingly quick wit. She has an airy lilt about her demeanor and would make a suitable mate to the Young Hawk. These are all tough decisions for the Young Hawk, but ultimately it depends on who his father aligns himself with in the current war erupting in Westeros. Radford mourns the loss of his mother immensely. He does feel a twinge of abandonment for her passing. He was only 15 at the time. He was very close to her; believed that he was her favorite. Lord Radford idolized his mother in every way possible and she defended him time and time again. Her eldest son reminded her of her husband Rennault on too many occasions. Much of his angst is built-up pain from the loss of his mother. He loves his little sister, Stelsa, going out of his way to protect her. He views the young lady has one of his treasures to protect. He would allow no harm to befall this sweet princess. He enjoys having long playful discussions with his sister about many topics in Westeros. He loved listening to the old maiden Tess who cared for the Lashton children for many years. Stelsa and Radford chat about the many crazy beasts old Tess would claim exist north of the wall like Giants, white walkers, and dire wolves. Radford has a love-hate relationship with his brother, (Name TBD). The two get along very well, but are in and out with fighting over sibling rivalries constantly. When the chips are down, Radford knows his brother will have his back and the same goes for Radford. He secretly admires and respects his younger brother, but he would never admit it to him. He is constantly making derogatory comments about him, but he considers it all in good fun; playful banter. There is no doubt in the respect the Young Hawk has for the Vulture. He views the sword master like an elder uncle who knows all. He would follow the man to hell and back. He trusts his instruction and believes he is the best man to guide his father on military matters. Radford has paid very close attention to Marvyn Kayne’s tutelage honing his skills with each lesson. The man’s son is at least ten years older than Radford, but he has always viewed Martyn like an older brother. The older Kayne is a fine warrior in his own right and has become Radford’s sparring partner since the younger Lashton turned 15. There is much respect for both father and son. Thoughts on the current situation of the realm: Radford has a raging turmoil in his mind over this issue. On the one hand, he wishes nothing more than to fight in this war. But which side to fight for? The one Lady he feels he could fall in love with is aligned with the Young Wolf, Robb Stark. He also has feelings for other ladies who would make wonderful political ties for his father with House Lannister. He trusts his father’s decisions and listens to the Vulture’s ideas on the subject. Due to Ser Kayne’s influence, Radford is leaning toward allying with Tywin Lannister.
[@Nightwing95][@Emma][@Heat][@LordLinguinie][@HushedWhispers]
