Any fantasy race is acceptable. For example, Vampires have had a long standing feud with the more mortal races of the world but a long standing arrangement proposed by the late Alexander Volstryggr fixed the harsh animosity between them and allowed Vampires to be more open about their nature. This agreement allowed for Vampires to 'purchase' their sustenance through legitimate means and has over time mended relations between them and other races. Simply put, People can sell their blood to vampires for money.
