This particular spider had been wasting the day way building this web and bathing in the sun instead of doing any missions or mourning for the leaf. Eishi did not particularly care that the leaf was attacked or that the Hokage died. The boy new it was a tragic thing for some but he did not understand why people mourned for a man who was doing his job, what better way for a kage to die then protecting his village. From what he heard the former kage did not even do much of that in his final moments, the Konohagakure was still partially destroyed, not that Eishi had much faith in his own kage, he did not really have faith in anyone for that matter. The time following the funeral and the return of his fellow shinobi was a quiet one, he continued to practice his trade and walk around his mother. He did not really care about not being choose to go to the Jōnin Exams, if someone felt that he was not ready then that must have been the truth, but the next Jōnin Exams should be waiting for the arrival of the spider. Even though the village was quiet it was tense, everyone was worried about being attacked but was that not that the point of having this whole hidden village in the first place. It was their duty to bear the ugliness of the world outside the Land of Earth and being attacked is a given when you take up that job. Eishi did not get a lot of people's feelings and customs, they went against many things he thought where true and just confused him to no end. Instead he choose to ignore them all together. He was raised to be a blank canvas not worthy of paint whose only desire was to grow stronger, but now he had a desire to grow strong enough to get away from her. When he opened his eyes again the sun was going down and it was evening now, the only thing that was different was the tension in the air. Then came the flood that washed away a lot of the buildings, one of which was acting as foundation for Eishi's web, and caused the boy to quickly scale the wall of a tall building to avoid being swept with the current. From the top of the building he could tell the village as under attack, and this spurred him to turn on his radio back on: "Evacuating civilians are under attack, anyone who can help them, do so. Engaging the enemy from range, might need close-range support." He knew the voice but not the name it belonged too, but that did to matter at the moment, all that mattered was seeing if he could help. From the building he could see the rain of steel and began to move in that direction. As he got closer the screams of civilians could be heard all over and it seemed they were evacuating but not not correctly, some of the villagers got impaled on the way out. Sure you could say that is not their fault but still at least attempt to not get impaled that just makes the situation harder for everyone. Now he had to jump from the building and save a small family of 4 from this dangerous rain. Using his saliva as a medium he spat out a wall of Supaidāgamu, the pink sticky wall would harden immediately and stop the four blades. It was as wide as the 5 of them and as tall as Eishi. "Please avoid this dangerous rain, dying like the others is a problem." Eishi said to the 4 of them before rushing over to Chise and standing behind her boulder. "Well...Hello, I am Eishi. Pleasure to meet you, while I am not a medical ninja I can help you move them." Eishi said to Chise in a calm voice while scratching the back of his head awkwardly. Human interaction was not his forte, and this was the reason he preferred spiders to people. Did he introduce himself properly? Was this even the right time? What if she thought he was weird? So many questions and the civilian screams did not give him any time to answer them. He quickly bit his thumb and summoned Jo, the spider was a whole foot taller than him and a little bit bigger then her boulder. Eishi nodded at the wounded civilians and Jo instantly new to move them from harm, using his god given silk he shot web after web pulling 5 people near by out of harms way. The civilians were badly wounded and without medical attention would surly die, but in Eishi's mind that is what happens when you let yourself get stabbed. "We can move them sure, but if we do not deal with the one responsible then there is no point." Eishi said while pointing to the old man atop the tallest building. He was the source of the weapon filled rain and the reason people were getting hurt.
