Scrapping the last character for an idea Syn and I came up with. He's given his acceptance of this so, posting it for the others to see and judge. [@Syn], it is here. Unlike most Samurai or Shinobi, who are noted for their inflated sense of superiority in their abilities, Masao is characterized by his almost overly modest perception of his own abilities and attributes, to the point where many would call him a person who completely lacks confidence. However, the matter of fact is that Masao has, following his trials and tribulations, understood what it means to be capable and thus has no need to express his own capabilities unless the situations demands it. When considering mannerisms, Masao is a very well-mannered individual who faces no complications in virtually any circumstance he is put in. It is difficult to provoke the man, however, he is noted to be easily angered when the subject is about amateurish swordsmanship, a topic that he prides himself as an expert on despite his awareness of self. Because, above all, Masao is a samurai dedicated to the Bushidō and the blade, the motivating factors in his life. Notably, Masao's personality doesn't shift in the slightest even when confronting Shinobi, indicative of his peaceful nature with the supposedly opposite individuals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【History】 The Land of Iron had always stood as the haven for the samurai and their lifestyle, to which of the many samurai that existed there stood the Shima Clan. The Shima Clan stood as the right hand to the Daimyo, righting wrongs and killing those that threatened their home. From their clan was a coveted dojutsu and a child born to one day excel into greatness. Aizawa stood a proud father to the infant Masao despite the baby being blind in one eye. Masao's loving mother Misato held her child in her arms till she fell asleep that day, dreaming of her son's future. Eight years would pass since the day of Masao's birth, the Land of Iron Mainland had undergone an invasion by the Ina Clan. An invasion that saw many samurai, old and young alike, fighting to protect their home; Masao stood among the young samurai. His training had been harsh and missions tough but nothing like this. Fear gripped him as the attack entered the massive dojo that housed many students and defending teachers. It was upon this day that Masao would unlock his deformed version of his family's dojutsu and gain his first kill. Sadness. Fear. Desperation. Three key traits that Masao would learn to overcome and fight back against. He survived the failed invasion but he would now have to survive the rest of his life as a samurai. Years would pass as Masao would continue o as a valuable samurai for the Iron. H wasn't the best ever, but Masao held a tenacious persistence unlike any other. His values and training unleashed a samurai dedicated to honing his abilities, even becoming known for his usage of the samurai sabre technique. With the Daimyo's trust of the Shima clan, Masao was one the three samurai picked from families to act as a liaison with Kononha, former allies. A peace accord that would hopefully prove to be valuable including with commerce. He's lived within Konoha over a few months alongside his Land of Iron comrades. Time will only tell how his future with unfold. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Equipment/Weapons/Items】 Name of Weapon or Item: Ryūge (Dragon Fang) Description: Ryūge's appearance is quite unique as the sheath and hilt are completely made out of stone. It takes the form of a katana that is somewhat longer than most blades of its family. The non-cutting edge of the sword and sheath are made out of white stone with various rune-like lines running along it. The guard is circular in shape and is a purplish-grey in colour. The hilt is same colour as the guard and has a white hilt-wrapping that also has various rune-like lines running along it, just like the sheath. It possesses a number of unique abilities, though it seems to share some similarities with a few other doujutsu. First and foremost, the Ryuugan enables Masao to visualize the flow and release of chakra. This supernal vision penetrates through objects and physical materials, seeing only the complex web and currents of chakra. Masao sees living beings as networks of vibrant energy, as their chakra networks throb and flow throughout their bodies internally. Furthermore he is able to track the flow of chakra; for example, he is able to see the chakra of a genjutsu flow through the air and affix itself to a target to manipulate them. By tracking these fields and traces of chakra that living persons leave in their wakes, he is able to discern their paths from the environment; he can track them via their chakra signatures, which appear as a trail of hazy mist. Depending on the chakra reserves of the individual, these trails can last anywhere from a few minutes to several weeks. The clarity of the Ryuugan's perceptions is another unique trait, unlike other doujutsu such as the Sharingan, which only shows an overall aura of chakra and its colors, the Ryuugan possesses an acute level of precision and exactitude in its perception. Its range however is lacking, as the further away something is, the more hazy the chakra becomes until its a thick mist. At his current level the maximum distance Masao can see with his Ryuugan is no more than 1.3km. The amount of chakra required to maintain this ability is relatively small, but the Ryuugan is not without its drawbacks. Due to the eye's blindness, and the manner in which the chakra-sensing eye superimposes itself on his ordinary vision, the Ryuugan produces a great deal of strain on Masao after prolonged use. He often suffers serious headaches and migraines as a consequence of prolonged activation, with only mild effects following a battle. ------------------------------------------------------- Jutsu:
All Academy Techniques

Name of Technique: Amakaken Type of Jutsu: Kenjutsu Rank: A Range: Short Nature Type: N/A Description: The Amakaken is the signature sword style developed by Masao, while training in his father's style, it is a swordplay that emphasizes the use of one weapon combined with various taijutsu moves and highly advanced chakra manipulation. Amakaken is predominately an aerial style of combat, favoring the use of acrobatic maneuvers that allow the user to attack with great speed and precision while airborne along with body movements designed to take advantage of the third dimension in terms of combat. The principle of Amakaken lies in motion, and the ability to remain in motion for both attack and defense. As motion is one of the key factors of the style, Masao's movements are characterized by his ability to move sinuously from one point to next, around his opponent and even through the air, constantly maintaining his motion. Movement is fluid, like a snake, bending and coiling as he moves until closing, and distancing become second nature. Power is generated from the sinuous motions, to create swift rippling attacks, like a snake striking its prey. At first glance the style appears to be singularly linear, movement is always in one vector, the same with its attacks, however that is where the true power of Masao's Amakaken manifests itself. Name of Technique: Samurai Sabre Technique Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: B Range: Short - Mid Nature Type: N/A Description:This technique is simple in its execution, but one many Samurai become intimately familiar with. The user channels his or her chakra through their weapon, using it as a foci to reshape the chakra into various forms, such as extending the blade itself, or even creating weapons like hammers. The possibilities of this technique are endless, as with a mere swing the practitioner can release a crescent of compressed chakra, capable of slicing through physical materials. Masao's mastery of this technique is legendary, often using it especially in combination with his sword-style the Amakaken, by creating mirror images of his attacks. Whether it be in close range or mid-range, Masao is a formidable opponent who can perform swordplay more akin to a dance of death. Name of Technique: Flying Swallow Type of Jutsu: Kenjutsu Rank: C Range: Short Nature Type: N/A Description: Flying Swallow is the prototype for the Samurai Sabre Technique, and involves augmenting the killing power of a blade by flowing chakra into its cutting edge. In the modern era, this technique was advanced to include extending the cutting edge past the end of the physical sword itself, shaping the materialized chakra into a hardened blade. Masao’s use of the technique, however, does not focus so much on manipulating the shape of the chakra but rather the property of the chakra. The most dangerous aspect of Flying Swallow is that, by vibrating the chakra that cycles through the extended edge at an incredibly high rate of speed, the rotating energy becomes sharp enough to cut through most chakra fortifications. In fact, the density of the extended chakra blade is so great that it becomes visible and is capable of interacting with physical attacks, such as elemental-based jutsu. This property is also especially useful when Masao is defending against chakra attacks, as the chakra channeled through his blade allows him to block or even cut through the otherwise “intangible” energy. However, Masao mainly uses Flying Swallow as an incredibly fast, unpredictable flash of chakra which extends past the reach of his sword. Like most other samurai, he can also channel the chakra to fire condensed crescents of energy. Name of Technique: Killing Intent Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: B Range: Any who can see him Nature Type: N/A Description: As with most shinobi who are capable of projecting an aura of killing intent to intimidate and demoralize their enemies, Masao is particularly skilled with this technique. His version however is more refined and is more akin to a Genjutsu, as he projects an aura of Yin chakra, which seeps into the minds of those around him. The purpose of this is to make a target more susceptible to his intimidation tactics, and threats, as well as any other Genjutsu at his disposal. Genjutsu which inflict fear or despair on his enemies are particularly potent, capable of breaking the spirit of seasoned shinobi who fall prey to the initial technique. Name of Technique: Dancing Moon Type of Jutsu: Kenjutsu Rank: C Range: Short Nature Type: N/A Description: Dancing Moon is a high-level sword technique used against multiple opponents. After coating the sword in chakra, the user charges into and through the midst of enemies with high speed, and utilizes precise timing, and non-wasted motions of hip and upper body in an instance to position his/her blade; now, thin and sharp crescents of chakra are released, enhancing the cutting range to hit all opponents around the user. In addition, one can provoke the opponents in order to disrupt their concentration, making it even easier to hit them. Name of Technique: Dancing Blade Risk Type of Jutsu: Kenjutsu Rank: C Range: Short Nature Type: N/A Description: While this technique appears to be a basic slash that is performed while dashing headlong towards an opponent, the Dancing Blade Risk is actually a precise, subtle feinting technique that requires the utmost skill to perform correctly. Essentially, the forward-slash distracts the adversary from the kenjutsu-ka’s true intentions, which involves a slight lag or a misstep in footwork in order to cause the adversary to incorrectly perceive the distance of the incoming attack. As Masao executes the feint, he presents an opening to his opponent in order to draw them in past the optimal engagement distance. Because of the straightforward charge, the opponent assumes Masao is attacking from mid-distance, when in reality the faulted step allows him to enter chikama (close-range). Exploiting this lapse in the adversary’s awareness allows Masao to completely bypass whatever counter the opponent originally intended and thus gain the decisive advantage. When executed correctly, the opponent is unable to gauge the incoming strike and is subsequently bifurcated. However, the technique holds a notable weakness in that, for a brief moment of time during the misstep, Masao is completely exposed and unable to defend himself should the adversary decide to strike. The technique reflects this in its name, as “dancing” refers to the feinted step and “risk” to the vulnerability created in the lapse.
