Why does he think he needs to tell her the motto?

That I got

But potential for what? Becoming more? Surviving? Understanding?

I got this but Liz won't. 

[color=ed1c24]4. Explaining that he is using her, to get into locations he can't. (Being beastkind.) to find his kidnapped children and is promising freedom after the fact.[/color]

I understood why he needed her. But not why he offered her freedom.
