The lying mainstream media and news was more concerned with the President of the United States "incorrectly feeding koi fish" than a shooter who did not fit their narrative; going so far as to edit the clip of the two world leaders so it made their ideological opponent play the fool.
As a leftist, I feel I must clarify my matched distaste for the news media's penchant for picking up on every minor social infraction and faux pas the man commits, as if in some way it is newsworthy or a fitting use of the soft power we're told they possess. Not only do these kinds of attack bolster Trump and his supporters' claims that the news media is peddling fake news, or that they carry a bias against the right (which, don't get me wrong, I don't like bias on either side, I just believe that the majority of television news outfits prioritise their bias towards sensationalism, laziness and faux-consensus over any right-left divide; Bernie Sanders and my own country's Jeremy Corbyn have been subject to similar tactics in the past), but they also end up desensitising the audience to very real criticisms that will continue to be levied against the man. Their audience should not equate one with the other; it leaves their opponents with ammunition and their supporters' viewpoints diluted. Perhaps an earthquake-style rating system is in order. The country is on Amber alert. President Donald Trump, as you can see in this picture, is apparently eating a pizza with a knife and fork. More coverage as it happens.
