Basically, unless you have a reason to go after some other player... just post when you can. I was originally afraid of people having that "silent psychological barrier" with this method. By having an established turn order, people would KNOW exactly when they have to post but having free order always puts doubt into some peoples' minds like "oh am I not interrupting another person's plan?". Which is nice and all but sometimes slogs the game down.
[referring to "silent psychological barrier"] While that thought path is understandable, not many that I know of actually think that way (And neither do I). Having a flexible system like this actually takes a lot of pressure off people, knowing that they're not actually keeping people waiting as if they were in a queue of sorts. However, in the end people still think "Oh I still need to post before the GM does." Whether or not they spoil someone's plan can be shown via IC. I feel like planning ways of attack in OOC is more meta than people realise. In the end, just play your character how they would react. Don't worry about what other's will think because that'll be shown IC, via their characters. The moment someone gets upset in OOC about messing up a plan is the moment you could probably say that they're thinking the way they think, not the way their character thinks.
