It was locked up tight and it appeared that no one was coming in or out. Had they headed out for the night already? There had been talk when Mai was on the ship before of people going out to town later on, the words Lady Luck being spoken more than once. Yet if they were, why had the ship been moved? Usually ships stayed docked where they landed, getting their dock space before they landed. It was a bit of a mystery to why the Retribution was in this new space locked up. The docks were not empty, they hardly ever we but people were bustling about from one ship to the city proper and back, to storage units and back, standing around speaking to crew members from other ships and setting up trades or even more nefarious deals. Cargo was being moved too and fro and yet still no movement from the Retribution. The sun was setting, colors of red and orange blanketed the city, the final bright light from the sun bouncing off the metal hulls of the ships and reflecting to light up the area; one had to be careful because it was blinding in places if one wasn't trying to avoid looking directly at it. Atticus glanced over to Foy as he came out and gave the dapper gentleman a nod of his head. He was about to say hello but it seemed that Foy had diarrhea of the mouth as usual and was spouting off his compliments and such to the Captain. The look on Anisa's face was enough to make the padre snicker a bit and cough back a full out laugh. She looked like a cat that had just been told no. Confused and perhaps a bit offended. Her brow arching deeply over one eye. "Gave my dress a purpose? Will it be writing in it's diary tonight?" she asked with a bit of a snark. The woman enjoyed her fashion but she had to wonder just how much hair chemicals the man had inhaled over the years. "Ha! You do know me all too well my good sir. I would be denying my normal self if I Was not to ask not only the most stunning woman to waltz from the ship but the captain as well to have my arm. Would be right rude of me to not offer it to a gem such s herself." Jahosafat was in true form tonight it seemed. Anisa's bewildered look turned from Foy to Jahosafat on a dime and her other brow shot up. "Are we not the most lucky of men my dear friend? An able captain, one who can cut a deal with the cut-throats of the land, handle her crew with an iron fist, know two such diamonds out of the rough such as ourselves to bring into her fold, beautiful to look at, and one with a taste in the finer things of life that rivals our own? I dare say she is our long lost sister!" he said with a broad grin. It was too much, Atticus could no longer hold the giggles in that were threatening to break through and looked as if he had gone mad with a coughing fit as he patted Jahosafat on the shoulder and walked off from the group a few feet to try to compose himself. Tears welling up in his eyes the ore he coughed. Anisa was at a loss for words and her head whipped around when she heard Dorothy's voice. "Dorothy," she said and stepped quickly away from Jahosafat and Foy. Her heels clicking quickly over the concrete as she scuttled over to herself. Tossing a glance over her shoulder at the two men before looking back at Dorothy she let out a sigh of relief and pushed her hair back out of her face in relived frustration. "If we are going to hang out with them two tonight, I am going to need more than a drink, I am going to need an anti anxiety shot in the ass from you before the night is over," she said as he hand fell to her side. The captains eyes found Harper as he exited the ship and she gave him a nod as he made his way out. Maybe she could just make her way over to him for the night and leave the two twins to their own vices with Preacher. They had been able to walk and speak a little when she had picked up and finalized the deal with the new ship. He hadn't been pleasant but far more tolerable than either Foy or Jahosafat were. They were exhausting. How they kept up the way they were so naturally was beyond her. Maybe they were on a permanent dose of happy happy joy joy pills. Either way once she had word from Daphne that she was staying or seeing her join them on the docks they would be on their way. The Lady Luck was ready for them. It was ready for anyone that evening. All the serving staff was out and about, bartenders lined the many bars placed through out the establishment, the kitchen was going fully for those taking a full sit down meal upstairs as well as bar foods on the main. The upper upper levels were going to fill up quickly as the ladies and men of the night were starting to make their way out into the crowd, finding their marks for the hour to help those "stressed" with some more carnal relief. Dice were being tossed, cards were being shuffled and dealt, money was being exchanged for chips for the evening until it came time to cash out. Music was playing and the monitors were showing various stations from news to sports to other areas of the establishment so people could see what was going on. The night was gearing up to be one hell of an evening and the staff was ready, especially the security folk. Fights were always seeming to break out eventually; booze, money, and ego's all mixed to create a perfect storm for things to be broken.
