Just to be clear, I don't want to telegraph that Sabine [i]has to[/i] be killed here. The whole 'killing blow' line is just her internal expectations.

It really depends on the direction you'd like the story to take. The consequences would be pretty clear if Sabine was killed. It would mean a long extra arc for the pack as a whole, Meesei in particular. While that could be interesting, I'm not sure if it's appropriate with how close we are to wrapping the overall story up.

The original idea I had was for Sabine to get captured after the book is planted and see what happens. However, Arinette and Do'Rhajul are your characters and the options are still there.
