This has nothing to do what they are comfortable writing, but more discriminating on [i]who[/i] they write [i]with[/i]. It is unacceptable. Full stop. The apologetic normalization isn't something I feel is appropriate, either, personally. I feel like this is one of the reasons Iwaku removed gender from their account fields, and in fact I’m positive it is.
