Phoene turned to Conner, "so...if I use a vine, he blocks it, I have another vine back up and ready to attack? Almost simultaneously?" 

Connor seemed shocked to be addressed, to have someone talk to him, ask his opinion. "Uh, yeah, I guess. You should try it, see if it works" 

Phoebe gave him a smile, thinking, "I think you will be an easy match for your father, once you are trained up a bit" then she turned to Ryan, and said, "you should be careful not to trip up when you go. But remember, he might be expecting you to be fast" 

She looked around the rest of the class, "think outside the box. If we are going to lose, better to lose exploring ways to beat him. So he can mimic us...lets be unpredictable, and see just how he can follow"
