They’d had enough to drink that they found it easy enough to mingle with people they’d never talked to. Not quite enough to make any terrible decisions (not that Rien was likely to regret anything they did). They’d even managed to sneak into the VIP lounge – which honestly wasn’t as hard as it should have been. They’d pulled at least three people since getting here which was a pretty decent number in their books. They were on their way to a fourth, because why not see how many people they can get with right? They’d never seen the shorter (wow, someone shorter than them!) brown haired girl before but she was pretty good looking. Rien was so close to kissing her, too, when shit went down in the VIP lounge. They only heard snippets of the conversation – they had no idea who the guy was, but they were pretty sure the girl was called Claire. Her reputation kind of preceded her. Though, honestly, from what Rien heard they were all with her when she punched him right in the face. He looked like he deserved it. Shame it killed the party mood, though. And the girl Rien had been chatting up was staring at the scene. Looked like they weren’t going to get anywhere there. Ah well, no point worrying over something like that. It was pretty much dead inside the lounge now. Rien figured that maybe that signalled it was time to head back outside. Couldn’t be as bad out there, right? Shrugging slightly they made their way through the crowds and outside. They looked around to see if there was anything to join and easily spotted Claire. Might as well go talk to her, right? “Hey,” Rien greeted with a nod as they came to stand at the side wall beside Claire, leaning back on it and pulling out a cigarette of their own. They rummaged around their other pocket before sighing lightly. “You have a lighter or anything? I think I dropped mine in there.” “I’m Marijn by the way, since you probably have no idea who I am,” they grinned slightly. “Though everyone calls me Rien since it’s easier to pronounce.” Their smile increased. “I saw what happened in there, damn that was a nice punch. That guy deserved it.” “I think he tried to hit on me earlier too, but I was too busy with a girl to do anything but ignore him. Glad you told him to fuck off.”
