Dude, speak for yourself. I don't know about the rest of the men on this site but I could be playing the raunchiest kinkiest smuttiest dirtiest 1x1 ERP and for some reason I don't feel like my sexuality takes a ding if my RP partner turns out to be a man too. You're right that this is a fantasy but I'm not having any fantasies about the other player it's all about the RP itself and the characters. There's no 'breaking the spell' or 'lost interest' if my partner is a man, as long as the characters are straight. Maybe we have a very different idea of what the purpose of these RPs is and I agree that it might not be sexism, but what you're saying sounds a lot like homophobia instead. Maybe I'm the odd man out that I can still get into it without feeling like my sexuality is being questioned but don't act like you're the mouthpiece for all straight men on this forum. I don't give a flying fuck if my smut rp partner is a guy, a girl, or an alien (tentacles preferred please.) Cheers!
That's you. I personally make a distinction between character and roleplayer, but Hank is not wrong in saying that there are in fact people as he described. Between the post you quoted and the post I just quoted, the case is clear - there's many ways that people approach the same thing. You have your way. I have my way. Hank presented another way. At the end of the day, it is not a case of "one definition fits all".
