He hoped Travis was strong. He seemed pretty weak to him when they were talking. He had the awareness of a puppy staring into its own reflection and barking at it. He should give Travis more benefit of the doubt if they were going to kill this chimera though. Then depending on whether or not their lives would be lived or not would make the difference to his opinion currently about Travis. When the Chimera launched up in the air to barrage them with shards Kristian extended the petals of his rose and simply turned the petals to protect him from the shards. He could feel them bite into his kagune, but barely a scratch was seen on his petals. He would pay for hurting his rose like that even if it was barely a dent. As he recovered from the toothpicks spat at him, he saw the tail of that ridiculous existing being coming at him. He could get out of the way, but that would just cut it close. There was still the risk of him not making it or getting injured in the process. He growled under his breath. He was going to rip those wings off this bastards back when they got him in control. Extending from his rose were hardened looking thorns he extended two of them out of the leaves of the rose and allowed the tail to hit the thorn. Extending from the single sharp thorn were several more thorns from a single branch. Caging the tail the force and speed of the tail had him slide back, but it was just enough to slow down it’s momentum. Quickly letting go of the cage, while the tail was near the end of hitting its target Kristian managed to jump back part of the tail clipping him on his arm and ripping his sleeve. Looking over to Travis he saw him adjusting for the Chimera’s attack. Stupid.
