He because drunk in happiness when he heard Karen, his room mate, say that maths was optional, that meant that he could focus only in his arcane studies and go to classes that he liked, like sports, biology and physics.

[color=yellow]"Oh it's your second year here? So you should be great using magic, no? What is your specialty?"[/color] Kai stopped while analyzing the girl. She didn't look much the physical type, in his mind she was some sort of elemental user, maybe air. Or she might as well be trained in some type of mind magic. He didn't really knew so he was expectant for the answer.

While talking, Kai started heading towards the door and left the girl behind, forgetting to mention that he would accept the invite of her showing him the school.

As Karen might already have noticed, Kai was a young boy full of questions. The excitement on his face was endless, and for someone who, minutes ago, was going to bed it seemed like meeting someone new had fully charged his batteries.
