All was going well until the boy sat at the table she was at for a total of three seconds. She hadn't really known how to react, so she continued crunching cereal, though to say she would've felt slightly pleased someone made an attempt to talk to her would've been nice, but of course he ran away like all the others. Surprise wasn't in Karen's dictionary, so she shrugged inwardly and continued eating her cereal. People were scared of her, and with good reason. The less she had to talk to them the better. She utterly jinxed it. One moment she was alone, and the next, the boy and a friend of his appeared again, this time actually out of the blue. She didn't react, though inwardly she was, well, for lack of better word 'surprised', though she doesn't feel surprised ever. It's just the word that suits the situation the most. The friend was the winged-girl from before. The same one Karen didn't care enough to stare at when they first 'met' in class. She crunched loudly on cereal, partly because she didn't care for table manners, and partly to get the attention of the winged girl, who still hadn't noticed her, for some reason. "You have three seconds to explain. Three." She continued counting down, even through whatever explanation. She looked colder than most, despite being on fire, which, was a little ironic to say the least.
