In response to the sudden invasion, universal conscription across Gallia has reformed, once again, the Gallian Militia to fight alongside the regular military in the hopes of driving back and repelling the invaders like in the previous Europan War. Whilst not as skilled or equipped as the regulars of Gallia's Armed Forces, they make up for their bond in partnership and driven goals to see them return to their peaceful lives as they once lived. Being considered the more expendable of the two main terrestrial branches of the Armed Forces, the Gallian Militia housed a large amount of operations under their belt, whether they were successful or not was down to who was sent on these seemingly suicidal missions. Whilst the main Military rack up the larger and more professional operations, the Militia needs to be built up through said universal conscription. This is where hundreds upon hundreds of men, women, boys and girls of various ages are sent to the frontlines with the intention of supporting their nation. Made to fight patrols, partake in smaller operations and occasionally find themselves in the largest of battles, the Militia will find themselves on a very unbalanced set of instructions throughout the war. Some storm beaches, others fight in towns. Some are even expected to assist the Gallian Navy in the defence of the Western Coast. But one group of individuals will find themselves in an odd situation of their own. Enter Squad 11, a rag-tag team from one of many in the 4th Platoon, 2nd Regiment of the Gallian Militia. This regiment, whilst full of different individuals, remains as one of the more scrambled of assembled squads within the regiment. They stand with decent numbers of armed personnel within its ranks, amongst the ability to gain access to smaller vehicles outside of the standard Gallian Tank, such as the Gallian Armoured Personnel Carriers or Light Attack Vehicles. The focus for this squad is to head further East, where an expanding number of Imperial Forces are making headway within. Dense forests, riverside villages and urbanised towns stand between both Squad 11 and the approaching Imperial Army. They hope to push back the invading force, or at least hold them off long enough for gains in the north to be made. Without too much support from the Gallian Military themselves, the sequences of Operations being ignited too and from their headquarters up to the Frontline of the East will start to become more than just a dangerous war.
Welcome to the 2nd Regiment, 4th Platoon, where Squad 11 is going to be taken up throughout the journey of Gallia's victory (Or defeat) against the Eastern Empire. Here, we will be focusing the aggressive and seemingly constant battles of the eastern sector of Gallia, where forests, mountainous territory and large rivers await amongst cities, towns and other small settlements throughout the town. The fighting of this conflict will also feature a good amount of down-time and off-duty experiences where the in-depth character building can expand further and further until either hatred or strong friendship (Or further) becomes apparent. Here, we can shortly talk about the expanding ideas of conflict and out-of-conflict events that will appear in the roleplay. Firstly, we have the combat. Conflict within the world of the Gallian Militia isn't similar to that of the regular military. They find themselves on an unbalanced and varied set of missions and operations. Usually being considered cannon-fodder by the high-ranking officers of the Regulars, usually they are sent into dangerous environments to seek-out and expand the knowledge of the enemy's positions through reconnaissance and scouting missions; however, the Militia aren't going to be strangers to being thrown into a deep-ended conflict with little information to back them up. Whilst their commanding officers themselves are caring enough to provide as much treatment and safety precautions as possible, the regular Military cannot supply such useful information to people that seem too clumsy and undisciplined to even act well. As for how we are going to approach conflicts, myself and [@Jinxer] will be drawing simply plans for areas of operations. Whilst this won't feature a full strategy system that looks for constant attention, the map will be there to simply allow you to detail your posts and create less confusion throughout the course of battles. Both of us will also host the opportunities for people to suggest and apply their own battle scenarios if they pass our selection process. Most major events will be created by both GMs respectively. Some Operations will limit what vehicles can be brought, equipment and types of engagement procedures. Secondly, we have the off-duty scenarios which will be common throughout the story. Yes, this is a roleplay about the conflicts of the Second Europan War through the eyes of the Gallian Militia, but there are the abilities to improve relations and portray their real lives as they are. Through the use of the headquarters, as well as occasional visits to the capital city, Randgriz, and other unoccupied settlements, there needs to be an aim of relations between characters. Some characters are going to hate one another for many reasons, such as the common factor of whether someone is a Darcsen. Some characters are going to form friend or sibling-like relationships for their time off and on duty in working with and hardly against one another. However, there will also be the opportunities for going further down the hatred or like pathways, such as rivalries or romance. A selection of small events like training, festivals, engineering phases etc., will make it into the off-duty category as a way of boosting how characters deal with their bodies when not fighting. This could also be a way of boosting their reactions to morbid war scenarios that they had recently encountered. Now, for the characters specifically, there are multiple aspects of their individuality. That would obviously go through their gender, race (Darcsen or Gallian descent), age and class. The class system will be the same as the one seen in Valkyria Chronicles, the first one, with changes to how they work and how they can progress. This will also come with a sense of character progression. This progression will include adding small armour plating (If the character needs it) found on the bodies of the fallen, customisation to weaponry to improve handling or preference and improving the vehicles at our disposal. The classes in their entirety are to be listed as:
The classes of the Militia are split apart in order to create successful squads that can each be assigned to a role that suits their style of combat. The separation creates an organised and reinforced density within their ranks and allows them to proceed throughout the war with order and commitment. Note - Alongside all equipment, standard blades of the Gallian Military are also available for everyone.
The Scout is the backbone of the entire Gallian Army and Militia. They act as the main and most common role throughout all branches due to the ability to mass produce self-loading semi-automatic rifles from the war factories deeper in Gallian territory. The Scout, as the name suggests, acts as a mid-to-long range fighter, though usually listing as an all-rounder, that utilises speed and agility to report ahead of their team, as well as support their squad in all combat situations. Scouts are known for their rifle variants, which expand into different variations of damage, range and clip-size to expand the ability each independent scout has to offer. They are also armed with a Gallian Standard-issue handgun, a single or a few grenade and scouting equipment like binoculars and maps. Scouts also have the eventual options to expand their own personal accessories, including bayonets, mid-range scopes for marksmen in development, adjusted stocks to suit each squad-member's shape, moulded wooden frames to act as grips and stabilisers, as well as other small gadgets. Scouts can eventually develop into Marksmen or Veteran Reconnaissance personnel.

The Shocktrooper is a specialised sub-machine gunner that utilises shock-and-awe tactics to lead the squads ahead in frontal assaults. They are the main frontline handlers for suppressive fire, rushing strategies and charges along the Gallian Frontier. Using, at least at first, the standard Mags-M1 SMGs, which will later be expanded into a series of automatic weapons such as future Assault Rifles. Their use of infantry explosives, grenades especially, and the ability to pin down the enemy with a range of fast-firing techniques, the shocktrooper becomes an essential part to both offensive and defensive struggles throughout Gallia's conflict. They too come with the standardised Gallian Handgun, as well as several grenades. They can later be accessorised with types of stocks, bipods, magazine sizes and fire-rates, which are tampered by the engineers of the Squad too. A Shocktrooper can also progress towards being, through the latter development of flamethrower technology, an Inferno-specialist or a Suppression-Trooper.

The Lancer is where vehicles become vulnerable. Wielding a heavy Anti-tank Lance, they target the very strongest of forces alongside fellow tanks of their Squad in order to punch through the defences or assaulting machines heading their way. They are great at taking out structural materials as well, and serve as a general demolitions expert in most situations. They are likely going to be slow, due to the armour they wear (Though not all of the Lancers are muscular in appearance). As for their personal defence, they are able to hold the Gallian Standard-issue Handgun, as well as a revolver for an optional take, whilst they don't carry any small, handheld grenades. They can be progressed to, eventually, as Light Lancers or Demolitions Lancers.

The Engineer is the supporting role throughout the frontlines and combat experiences. Whilst being responsible for on-field repairs for cover, vehicles and damage to mechanical contraptions, the Engineer does not restrict themselves to just handling objects. They are also the key suppliers of ammunition throughout the squad, holding extra magazines, grenades, a few lancer-rockets etc. Alongside this, the Engineer also is responsible for acting as a combat medic, delivering large amounts of medicinal-ragnite and first-aid equipment to ensure injured comrades have a chance to reduce the possibility of death before being returned behind lines to meet up with a medic. Some engineers are responsible for tinkering with the weapons of other soldiers, though this takes time and cannot happen quickly. The Engineer will use the same weaponry as the Scout, using the Gallian Semi-Automatic rifle collection and handgun, whilst not using grenades themselves unless it is necessary for their survival. They are also equipped with, as stated, ragnite in medical forms and spare parts for on-field maintenance that the vehicular crew cannot change themselves. An Engineer can progress to specialise as a First Combat Medic or a Second Vehicular Crewman.

The Sniper is the long-ranged specialist throughout the Gallian Militia that serves to eliminate targets from afar. Self-trained, depending on the individual, in the arts of stealth, concealment, patience and accuracy, they can eliminate most targets from afar with ease. However, these qualities are not found in all snipers, as some either never learnt them or work differently under fire/stressful situations. The Sniper utilises the variety of Gallian Marksmen Rifles, which vary in stopping power, range, handling speed etc. They too come with a standardised Gallian Handguns.A sniper can develop and eventually progress into either the Anti-material Marksman or the Extensive-Range Specialist, who masters out-of-battle sniping to assist those within the battle itself.

A limited position within the Militia, especially Squad 11, the Armoured Crewman acts as the crew for both the vehicular combat efficiency the Squad can output during battles. They are also the key staff for maintaining the vehicles themselves to ensure they are always in a good condition, as well as upgrading them as the war goes onward. They have a variety of fast assault vehicles, like the Gallian IFV, troop transporters, like the Gallian APC, and finally the hard-hitting specialisations of the Gallian Tank. Personally, they cannot always be used to a vehicle in all combat situations. That means that they will sometimes have to rely on choosing whether they join an operation, even if they cannot have access to their specialisation. This, respectively, then allows them to utilise their special Gallian Carbine, which is either a shortened version of a Scout-Rifle or a lengthened pistol/revolver outfitted with stocks and extended ammunition chambers. Finally, an armoured crewman can be progressed into becoming either a Tank Destroyer Specialist or a Technical Armoured Weapons Developer.

With this in mind, as said before, the Armoured Crewman position is limited in its majority. As far as I am concerned, two places have been taken up for the "Tanker" class, which can be extended by another place if we get a large amount of support in the RP. However, if you wish to take this position and there is no clear indication whether they have been taken from people within the Interest Check, then please mention me below requesting it, in case people have dropped out, before making a CS. Speaking of the Character Sheets.

An image of the character could go here. A list of the ranks can be found here. There is one position for a Corporal and one position for a Lance Corporal open if requested by myself. The rest must be either privates or private first-classes. Unless Jinxer doesn't want an NCO Rank, another corporal position may open up. Role What is their role within Squad-11? Most changes will be listed from experiences out of combat, but some can occur from within their combat positioning out in the field. Character Theme Not necessary, but can be used if wished.
Whilst the rules of the Roleplay aren't too strict, there's a mix of both the site rules and a few of my own. As you'd expect, the standard site rules apply, and posting applications for Character Sheets must be put into the OOC. Please mention myself or Jinxer for confirmation of it. Same goes for battle applications, which will need to be PMed to me. Large battles and other smaller engagements that don't feature as major events will need to be consolidated by myself. However, do not over-do the amount of events you create. The general pace of this Roleplay shouldn't be too demanding. I won't ask specific people to post unless it is hindering someone else's progression for a long time. Having not a lot of time free in the week myself to make a full post, I too will not be too demanding of the post rate. As long as it is stable and working, it should be fine for the long-run. At the end of this, I wish to thank those who partake in it, and hope an enjoyable experience can be delivered from me.
