The had risen high into the sky one what was a typical day for many. It was the last day of school for many as summer break would soon begin, at least for a while nobody would have to worry. The current craze for many was battling, or exploring via the immensely popular Digi-Protocal app. However, for a select few things were about to change. Congratulations! You, digidestined, have been selected to save the digital world! The message appeared on screen with only a single button to press. “Okay” Before you can continue you must go home. Once you connect to your home network you will receive a message with further instructions. It seemed simple enough and was by no means out of the ordinary for the illustrious application. Special events happened like this every so often. Thus, it was no surprise that Olivia’s friends urged her to follow the prompt. “We’ll hang out later!” “I wonder what you’ll get.” “Show us when the events over!” She laughed it off, but went home anyway. She never won these things, but it was always fun to give it a try. So, she did. She ran in. Mom wasn’t home, probably out shopping or something. Dad was likely at work. She connected to their home network and went up to her room, throwing her bookbag down to the floor. Wonderful! You’re here and you’re ready. The message was audio, a slight bit more special than the norm, though the voice was a tad distorted. Hold on tight to your digivice and remember everything you’ve learned playing the game. It’s gonna come in handy! With that, the voice cut off and the screen when black. “What the…” Olivia shook her phone, tapped the screen, pressed the lock button, the volume buttons. “Oh no.” Mom and dad would kill her if she had broken her phone. And so, as the worry began to set in she lift her hand to throw the phone on her bed. But then it began to glow. She gasped in relief, thanking the heavens for her luck until the flash enveloped the room and she found herself falling. “What the hell is going on?!” She questioned before everything went black.
“Guys! Today’s the day!” Terriermon hopped about happily. They’d been preparing for their partners to come to the digital world for what seemed like all their lives. As the youngest of the bunch of digimon Terriermon was the most excited. He couldn’t say he was ready to fight, but he was ready to meet his tamers. Watching them through the trees of the TV Forest was as close as they’d gotten, but today they would finally meet.
“They’re here!” Terriermon followed the lights coming from the sky. Laying on the ground of the village in which they had been raised, the small digimon ran, practically jumping the whole way. On the ground was the group, unconscious, with their phones, now transformed into digivices laying on their open hands at their sides. “Tabitha! Tabi! Wake up!” The small digimon spoke excitedly as he used his tiny hands to try and shake the girl awake, his oversized ears draped down at his sides.
