Cut off from the rest of the Galaxy by choice thousands of years ago, the Armanian people have lived a sheltered existence. Forgetting about the Galaxy as a whole, dividing into clans fighting for domination of the planet and her resources. That all changed in the 2109th Year after the [b]Great Divide[/b], space travel had just begun once again with exploration of the planets in the solar system. The discovery that their moon was habitable, and the research of their own solar system. It wasn't long until what was once a long range Antenna in a museum in the capital city of [url=https://xjselman.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/1305759231-city-future-underground-science-fiction-wallpaper.jpg]Relti[/url] was reactivated upon detecting an inbound fleet. A fleet belonging to the Separatist Alliance. With the fact that Armania was [i]off the grid[/i] so to speak the tacitcal droid in charge of the operation was given orders to immediately occupy and go to work constructing mines on the resource rich moon and planet, without consideration for it's people. Armanians were put to work if they resisted, their infrastructure taken over and their entire planet was taken over by the Separatist Alliance. A common enemy was all the Armanians needed to unite, the clans coming together and forming the Rhiad - A council of the most influential families and individuals to rule the planet. They mounted a resistance and though the Amranian people were technologically inferior they managed to mount a reasonable defense. Many of them securing themselves in the new joint capital of Relti. Within a year the Empire came and wiped out the Separatist Forces, the regional Moff recognising the wealth of materials on the planet moved in with the intent of '[b]supporting Armania and bringing it up to a Galactic Modern standard, while providing support and security to the Armanian people[/b]'. They brought in the Mining Guild to add '[b]Efficiency, safety and professional standards[/b]' to the mines that had unlocked precious minerals on Armania and it's moon, Meroona. They worked slow, slowly increasing their grip on the planet. Initially they only made decisions relating to their own operations, however occasionally they would make decisions that should belong to the Rhiad. Rumours began to spread of people disappearing from Armanian prisons, and word was that they were pressed into service by the Empire. Slaves. [/i][/center] [hr] [center] [b][h3]OOC Information[/h3][/b] Welcome to [b]Star Wars - Liberation![/b] This Roleplay takes place on a planet of my own creation: Armania. Armania is a planet that is inhabited by humans who moved to the planets thousands of years ago, during The Old Republic. They dismantled their vessels and turned them into their first citys, forgetting about the outside Galaxy. Over time clans formed, and they fought amongst themselves for superiority and control. Technology didn't advance, nor did the Armanian people rely on it. Droids were kept for the rich and powerful, rather than replacing the working class. Weapons ranged from old blasters to slugshooters. The most important historical event prior to the CIS Occupation was during the [i]Great Divide[/i], a war where the Alaxians and Githan Clans united the other minor clans into North and South in a collosal war that spanned one hundred years. No clear winner was declared and an uneasy peace continued for many years. The CIS Occupation changed everything, and the two sides moved on to their new enemy who ravaged the planet, till the Empire came and replaced it, it's been three years of Imperial Rule. We will be playing characters who, for some reason or another, were captured by the Empire and forced into slavery. Unsure on where they are, all they know is that they want escape. Formerly an Alaxian stronghold the city was submerged before the [i]Great Divide[/i] in order to protect it from ground assault, only accessible through a series of tunnel systems or the air. A feat to Alaxian science and engineering the the city is the most densly populated, becoming overcrowded in the years since the CIS and Empire moved in and took over. Aliens are relagated to the outer rim of the city, being unwelcome newcomers to the planet while the more affluent members of society such as the Alaxian Family, for whom the clan is named after, hold the centre of the city. The divide between the different rings is visible from the air and from simply walking from one to another, with a major cultural divide. Most Armanians however just accept their role in the machine, while more recently 'Alien Acts of Terror' have caused Aliens to be banned from moving past the outer rim. Though there is little evidence of these acts, all people know is that the Empire always manages to thwart their attacks and take the criminals away never to be seen again. The Githan Clan more than any other believes in pure blooded heritage and family lines. They're a religious sect that believe their current ruler was chosen by the [i]Ashla.[/i] The city is surrounded by barren wasteland from hundreds of years of war, however inside the protection of the cities shell there are vast cathedrals built to honour the [i]Guardians[/i]. A group of individuals who Githan culture believes were chosen by the [i]Ashla[/i] to serve it in order to bring peace and balance, they have long believed that their belief in the [i]Guardians[/i] will bring them back to Armania and deliver them to the promised land, and strike down all the non-believers. Recognising their religion for what it is the Empire thoroughly searched the city for any artifacts pertaining to the Jedi and is moving loyal Imperial individuals to the city in order to try and breed out the Githan people to dilute their culture turning Typho into a boiling pot of religious beliefs.[/hider] [hider=Plains of Exidium] [img]http://www.jurn.org/dazposer/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/exidium.jpg[/img] The Plains of Exidium cover a large majority of the Northern Hemisphere, as vast as the oceans that many worlds posess the Plains of Exidium have vast woodlands and grasslands, that host a variety of life forms. In the early days many Armanian Settlers survived solely of the Plains without needing to produce anything for themselves. There are still some clans that live in the plains, believing that those that have formed vast cities have left their heritage behind. There was no clear consensus on how many clans lived ont he plains before the Empire showed up, however they range in the hundreds. Due to the planetary rotation the southern hemisphere is much warmer year around, much warmer than the ideal northern hemisphere. The Wastelands are a region not many people travel too, despite their abundance in resources. The ship was found crashed in the Wastelands, where Fiani Clansmen decided to recover and retrofit the vessel to act as a crawler. This enabled them to live in relative safety in deserts surrounding the Wastelands. It now roams continuosly mining easy to access veins of resources. Due to it's refineries and mining capabilities the Mining Guild and Empire have a heavy presence aboard the roving city, which has the Fiani uneasy as they have long been one of the most independent clans. Remaining neutral in conflict and neglecting wars, instead choosing to make profit from both sides. However since the CIS discovered a valuable grain of minerals in the region most of the settlements were destroyed, the trees cleared and a mine constructed. Many of the Ylarn clan who lived here were forced to work as labour in the mines. When the Empire came and wiped out the CIS threat, they were the most willing to work with and indeed for the Empire. Before the Empire came along the Ylarn were an insignificant Clan with little political influence. Their number now live in the cities surrounding the mines, the only thing of interest in the once great swamps. [/hider] [hider=Meroona] Meroona is a Lava Moon, in orbit of Armania. While the atmosphere isn't terribly healthy for organic beings it certainly isn't deadly over the short term.
