Personality: Hela has a raging, impatient, volatile, and supremely-ambitious personality; for her title as the Goddess of Death, she has absolutely no problem maiming or killing anyone, having to only feel appreciated when people agree to serve her, and/or don't intrude on her plans. She also made it perfectly clear that she would kill an entire nation, having to be quite content in controlling a literally-dead one that would be completely loyal to her. In the earliest century, during Odin's more-violent rule, these traits have made Hela very brutal yet very effective, having to become his Executioner, and officially, making his tyranny a success. However, once Odin transitioned into becoming a peaceful king, he realized that her ambition ran too deep, and that her limitless powers would pose her as a threat. Hence, he banished her from Asgard, and later, personally sentenced her to rule the Underworld for eternity, after she angrily revolted against him. Viewing this as betrayal, Hela became extremely resentful of Odin, angered by his attempts of covering up his shameful past, and became very jealous of the other gods, mainly due to their much-gained success during her absence. Her anger and desire for vengeance ran so deep, she mocked Odin's death, and hoped for the other gods to meet "very slow and painful" ones. Apart from her ambitiousness, mainly because of her overwhelming power, Hela is egotistical and very arrogant: She viewed those weaker than her as inferior, and holds absolutely zero fear when confronted. However, this led to her underestimation of Torunn, whom she believed had no chance in defeating her; it was an unshakable belief that ultimately led to her death.
