"W-well, I'm n-not sure what I did to offend you, wanderer, for you to insult me like that..." She muttered sadly (and very sarcastically), fixing her arm back into place. "I can be a bit hollow-headed at times, I suppose..." She looked back up to the old man, and gave him a nod to confirm. "These vagrants helped greatly, sir! I believe their names were... um... Sunny and Laphi?" She looked down at the pair questioningly, towering over them in her height, then glanced back to the old man. "Thank you sir!! I'd love a new set of armor, this set is slightly shorter than I'm used to!" She looked back to Sunny after her outburst about food, and hoped that her helmet did a good job of showing just how incredulous her expression would be. "H-hold on?" Nyte nodded hesitantly, taking the pale child from the vagrant and holding him carefully but naturally. She muttered something to herself and pulled the sleeping boy a bit closer to her chest, treating him like a precious vase. The knight sighed and looked down at the boy, ignoring her surroundings for a few moments to merely watch his cat ears flick gently in his sleep. "There's a joke about cats and napping I can make here..." She mumbled, looking down at the peaceful child. "But it would probably ruin the moment..." Shaking her head, Nyte carried Laphicet close to the porch and looked up at the new set of armor, shining in the light of the newly risen sun. The sounds of the forest were reserved, only an occasional rush of wind making the twisted trees shake, and the silence was nearly deafening after the terribly loud stumbling of the man's house.
