Well, here it is, finally.
Name - Vemka Vall Species - Mirialan Sex - Male Age - 41 Faction - Republic Intelligence, Attached to the Taskforce Appearance -
Standing at approximately 5'8" tall, the shorter Mirialan is well equipped for going unnoticed, complimenting his slim frame and relatively light weight. He tends to prefer not wearing his armor unless its blatantly obvious an assault mission or the situation otherwise demands it. He has a light green colored skin, though this is usually obscured by his preference for full body piloting suits and concealing clothing, bearing symmetrical markings on his face that help identify him both as who he is, and as one of the Mirialan people.
Apparel/Armor - Outside of his usual preferences for attire, Vemka maintains a set of lightweight armor, based off the standard issue for Republic Commandos, trimmed for weight reduction and being capable of forming a void seal when worn in its entirety. He tends to also wear his all weather cloak that he also wears when out of armor, giving it a more personalized look that would distance him from Republic appearances, at least for those who don't know better. Skills - Being an experienced, veteran member of the Republic Intelligence has given Vemka an impressive set of skills. Besides the obvious cunning, awareness, and intelligence required of agents of RIS, Vemka also is a very skilled hand in interrogation and, when needed, torture. Infiltration is also something he is readily handy at, preferring to blend into plain sight instead of not being seen at all. Despite appearances, the Mirialan is extremely dangerous in a fight, being a skilled shot with his blasters of choice, though he focused almost exclusively on training and conditioning himself for hand to hand combat. Of note is his training in Echani Martial Arts, mixing them with other techniques and training in both mandated training and his constant practice during his free time. Flaws - Vemka, despite being born and raised as a Mirialan and their belief in the Force being instilled, he distrusts Force Users, seeing them as bending something universal to their will and it being a perversion. Being a field agent for as long as he had been, he tends to think and operate on his own, not including others in his plans or thinking without taking extra time to remind himself to do so. Personality - Vemka is a man of many faces, wearing masks and personas as easily as a holo vid actor might play a variety of roles. He manipulates naturally, looking into what he can glean from each person and how he can use their actions and beliefs against them as needed. He also keeps secrets, telling only what is necessary and even then, one should take it with a grain of salt and be cautious with anything they can get from the Mirialan, doubly so if it seems relatively easy or simple to get the information. When he isn't playing at a role, he is a rather calm soul, never raising his voice in true anger or letting his emotions get the better of him, preferring to channel them into useful tools for his playing of many roles. While this does alienate him from others, he finds it too useful to simply stop doing so. Backstory - Vemka Vall was born on Mirial, home world of his kind, which was a cold, dry place, doubly so outside the urban areas of the planet. His father being part of the local policing force, and his mother passing on birth, gave Vemka quite the focused childhood. He had a twin brother that, unlike him, was found to be force sensitive and taken away for training with the Jedi. With his father working odd hours and being unavailable for the most part meant the young Mirialan raised himself, doing odd jobs to earn credits instead of pestering his father, who rarely had time to relax, making him very much a loner. He also realized that by paying attention to how others acted, and what they did, he could use that to his advantage when dealing with them. The manipulations were frowned upon by his father, who preferred honest work over controlling others to get things done when possible, citing the Mirialan beliefs of every action affecting the whole, and that doing such things hurt him in the long term in return for short term gains. Owing to the routine disagreements between father and son, Vemka enlisted with the Republic Army as soon as he was of age, against the older man's wishes, however during his training his aptitudes for manipulation and awareness got him ear marked by Republic Intelligence. Being reassigned to an alternate training program, he passed the courses with full marks, deliberately avoiding garnering too much attention which, once noticed, was noted though not punished. Unlike Commando forces and regular Army units, as an Intelligence field agent he would be deployed into areas that were not yet wartorn, or recently saw a cesession of combat, investigating rumors and trouble. Of course, he would also find himself working closely with regular Army units, Commandos, and of course the odd Jedi, with whom he had extremely icy relations with. He found that their usage of the force, manipulating it for the benefit of others, still was a distasteful use of something that guided all things in life. Of course, if maintaining chilly relations with Jedi allies was one thing, his view of the Sith should be patently clear, and one of the few times he lets his emotions show at all, a piercing hate for the ones that would bend the Force solely for their own gain. Despite icy relations with force users at best, Vemka got his missions done, sometimes despite the Jedi disagreeing with the precise terms of the mission at times. Branching off his basic training, he focused himself on conditioning and training both mind and body, finding trainers for the Echani arts as well as mixing in other schools of combat where applicable. It was his Echani martial arts training that prompted him to acquire a Vibrostaff, not particularly difficult though he got a few odd looks when he started incorperating it into his Echani training rituals, but more notably high quality cortosis bracers, pure enough to short out a lightsaber that struck it. That cost him a fair amount of his savings, and definitely turned some heads when reported, but his handlers in Intelligence thought it wise should he come into close contact with a Sith or fallen Jedi to be able to defend himself. Between missions and deployments and his constant self improvement and training, Vemka gave little thought to his personal life, any downtime being good time to be preparing for the next task, the next mission. While his peers did try to invite him out, he would decline, or more often, utilize what he knew about them to influence them to avoid ever asking in the first place. Most of his peers had differing pictures of who he was in his private life, and it suited Vemka just fine. Wearing masks became second nature, though not literally, bleeding over from his professional life, though he always was cautious to not lose who he was under too many masks. Being a skilled field agent with a fine track record got him hand picked when word came of a mission to deal with a Cult, as his handler referred to it, and though he would have to work with the Jedi, there would also be commandos and other specialists assigned. Vemka could remain a professional around Jedi, as he cited other missions, and having someone of his skills would no doubt be welcome. So he accepted the assignment and packed his necessary things, seeing this as the next mission in his life. Sure, it may run a tad longer than some, but not all missions could be in and out affairs.
