Once Celeste realized that her evening bag was not by her side, she quickly searched the room with her eyes. 

[i]"I must have left it inside Mei's car..."[/i] 

Clumsy and careless, another two of the attributes why Jonas had dumped her. She was twenty-five years old, but as her ex-boyfriend had mentioned before, she would sometimes act like a fifteen-year-old. 

Letting out a deep sigh, the green-eyed girl walked towards Mei and asked, "I am sorry to bother you..." Letting a soft laugh, the brown-haired young woman continued. "More than I have already had, but I cannot find my evening bag. I guess I must have left it inside your car." 

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she pointed outside with her finger. "Do you mind if I go outside and look for it?"

While waiting for her host's reply a loud growl was heard coming from the long-haired beauty's stomach. She placed both hands on her abdomen, as she flushed with utter embarrassment. 

In order to get ready for the party and arrive at it on time, Celeste had skipped dinner and it was obvious that the flimsy lunch she had had the day before had not been enough to keep hunger away.
